my son has a 50cc Baja atv automatic trans that at time (right now) jerks then dies, once he trys to start it the starter causes the quad to lunge forward like the clutch is not releasing. when this happens, you cannot push the quad backwards either even with the engine off. if you raise the rear on a block it will start but the rear wheels will spin even at idle, if you pull the quad off the block the load of the machine will instantly kill the engine. im guessing its a stuck clutch issue however I cannot find any info anywhere. im an ase master auto tech so I am pretty mechanical just need a point in the right direction. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance! Hello, i have a baja 250u wilderness and the neutral light wont come on hence i cant start it unless i pull start it any input would be great thanks the quad is in neutral and rolls just no light and no start thanks again

this air tube just sticks out, port on the other side of it needs to go somewhere but i cant find it! it attaches to this. quad runs ok, boggs at 1/4 throttle, but i havent cleaned the carb and service it yet. just got it a week ago, and havent had tome to fool around yet, besides seeing how it runs. still need to touch up some things on it, but this part is stumping me.

Hey all names Sean just joined up. I surfed the forums and couldn't track down anything to help me. Problem I'm having is when I try to start the quad with the electric start it turns over and will cough and a little puff of white smoke comes out of the exhaust. I pull started it the other day and she fired and would go for a bit if I feathers the throttle. As soon ad I would pull the clutch in though she dies. I changed spark plug, oil, starter solenoid. Haven't been able to check compression. Was thinking maybe timing is off? I'm not sure at this point I'm frustrated but keeping hope someone out here can point me in the right direction, this is my first quad.

Hi, I have a baja 90cc atv. The battery went dead and the atv was sitting there for about a month. I got a new battery and now it will start up for like 2 seconds at full throttle without me touching anything after clicking the start button and then turn off. Its not moving because theres no clutch. Any tips on how to keep it running???????

Just bought this machine and it will idle all day long but the minute you try and give it gas it falls on it's face . If i remove the air intake tube and spray gas directly into carburator and accelerate the throttle it runs like a champ anybody have any thoughts . Using my camera verses the prior owners :aargh does the color some justice .

Ok My Cousin got his Baja Extreme 300 about 1 year ago, it ran if you jumped it, so we got a new battery. then it still needed jumped, so we just ignored it and kept jumping it. then it just stopped one day. so we needed to charge it for a couple hours then jumped it and it ran for about 100 yards then just died, and it wouldn't start again, i tryed starting it and it didn't even try, it made no noise at all, so my cousin had to push it all the way back to his house, so someone please tell me what you think is wrong with it. And the 2nd Thing i need to ask is what is the Baja Extreme 300 closest related to cause i think it's a generic brand atv.Cause he wants to buy some after market ATV parts and plastic for it. Cause my friend's Dad may be able to fix it and i want to know what's wrong with it first PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US!!!

I have a 2006 Baja ba90 quad and I have no spark. Dose anyone know how to test this cdi and rectifier, on this bike. I notice the safety switch was slightly pulled out. As I pushed it in , still no spark. Can this not being pushed in all the way can damage any the elctronics? The safety switch tests ok. What should I do, and what colors should I test?

Arctic Cat Prowlers Sweep Baja 1000 Minneapolis, Minn. – The finish line at the 41st Annual SCORE Baja 1000 was as dramatic as it was historic. Racing a pair of stock Arctic Cat Prowlers, the Bi-Polar/Arctic Cat team beat the brutal conditions to finish first and second place in the world’s longest, continuous off-road race. The Ultimate Baja 1000 Racer By Brian McCune Mar 22, 2007 Racing the Baja 1000 is no easy task; riding the quad by yourself the entire length of the race is pure insanity. With only half of the starters even finishing the event, it takes an ultimate quad and an ultimate rider to attempt to solo this grueling course. Richie Brown did just that and he finished the race in 39 hours. With dependability and comfort in mind, he built his Honda TRX450R into the ultimate Baja quad. 1. Maxxis Razr 2 Tires Brown relied on the Maxxis Razr 2 for their enhanced cornering ability. The Razr 2 comes standard with a six-ply rating for maximum puncture resistance.
