Hey all, new guy here. I am wondering if anyone has one of these machines, that can possibly take a picture/tell me where the hoes goes from the timing chain cover. I took this machine apart in the fall of 2014, planning to rebuild the top end, and didn't get around to doing it until about a month ago. motor is back together, and I'm just curious as to where this hose goes. One end has a plastic ribbed fitting in it. Also, the rear upper nipple on the carburetor.....what goes there? is that just a breather also or? I have the rubber piece that slides into the rear of the gas tank with 3 hoses: 2 go to the rear, and 1 is just a clear piece of hose that isn't connected anywhere. I have another one of these machines, but it is 5 hours away. I guess that's what I get for waiting a year and a half to put it back together lol. Thanks

I have a 2003 Yamaha Beartracker 250. A few days ago I decided I'd ride it down to a friend's house a couple miles down the road. I had done it before so I didn't think I was taking any risks. As I was headed down the road in 5th gear, I usually don't push the throttle all the way down, but with a car coming behind me, I had to push it down all the way in 5th gear for 3 or 4 seconds. All the sudden I lost all power and stalled into a driveway. The battery was completely dead so I charged it up for 15 minutes and it was good to go as could be. When I try to start it, it will turn over and over but there's no combustion. The spark is good. The I've tried spraying carb spray into the carbeurator and air filter. No results. Any suggestions? I've tried researching the problem since and have found nothing.

2002 Yamaha Beartracker 250. I get .19vac into the coil but nothing at the plug. There is no spark. It was running fine, and then I didn't start it for 2 months and this is what I'm faced with. I keep it in a shop and out of the weather. What voltage should I read input to the coil and output to the plug? I ordered a full service manual yesterday, but thought someone on here might have some experience. Thanks
