I have a really dumb question. My big bear came half apart and I am not sure how the timing chain guide is supposed to sit in there. I have the entire top end cleaned, bored, new piston, gaskets, etc. I do not see anywhere in any manual or thread where it shows how the chain guide is installed or held on place????? Also should it be the same height as the other side???

Curious if anyone is running these? Sellers claim the automatic tensioners loosen at rapid throttle closing from high rev. Is this for real?

Hey I have a kazuma falcon 150cc atv. I'm having major problems with the chain I tried just about everything I can think of. I bought a new chain and a gain tensioner assembly but the sprockets don't seem to stay in place. I tighten them as tight as I can get them And as soon as I move it the sprocket arms drop which then cause a lot of slack in the chain. The it starts to rub on the frame. How do I get them Tight so I can just drive and not have tabun more problems?? Can someone please take pictures of their chain and parts around it. I just can't seem to get it righ and it's aggravating please help!!!

Got all my pieces for Christmas and installed the new drive sprocket (13T) new driven sprocket (38T) and a new 520 xtg chain. Made the chain same size as factory chain and it was too long. It would touch the skid plate. I removed another link and side plates. Now the chain is half a link too short. I cannot get enough adjustment on the slack adjuster. To topf it off on one end i broke a roller so that link has to come out too. Would i be able to add a half link and maybe rivet the repair in?? I know DID has a rivet link but i cant find one for sunstar. I repair non oring chains (#40 - #120) alot on industrial equipment so im familiar with half links and adding aditional links with cotter pin style links and master links. But thats low speed 200 - 300 rpm and high torque. 520 chain seems to be voodoo magic to me. What should I do at this point?? Help im dying to try this sprocket combo.. Working on a quad for a friend, new to these. 2000 King Quad 300 Unit shows 1100 miles. Low compression, tore down, needs piston & rings, cyl bored, rockers & cam worn bad. Adjuster on timing chain is all the way out, still had enough play to get chain off cam gear. Can I replace chain without removing engine or spliting case? This will make the difference as to if I procced. Also need a manual, can not seem to find one for this model on the web. Opinions, coments, sugestions? Thank You Dave

It wouldn`t be the first time the owners manual was wrong. Says front chain should be 3/16-1/2". My previous Polaris 6x6 tension was 3/4-1 1/2". Anybody know for sure? Like to keep my tranny in one piece.
