  1. I recently was given a 2005 Chinese ATV, No marking what so ever other than on the side of the head it says 10cm3, which i think means that it is a 90cc? Trying to figure out which cdi it needs, as I have diagnosed that i am only geting .1 v at the coil, it also has a alarm (no fob) which ive read you can just unplug to bypass, i have the vin number it is l5nsumcc45t009855 but that isnt helping much... The motor cranks, but no spark checked the kill switches etc.
  2. I have a Chinese Hybird 250 or that's what I was told it was. I found 17 numbers on the frame. Will these numbers tell me exactly what it is that I have? (I know that its a 2006 from a plate on the front)
  3. I have a 110cc atv not sure of a brand its a Chinese model. I put on a new harness with cdi solenoid and all those. I have put a new starter on, and carburetor. I bypassed the start button cause it was just making the solenoid click. with the new button switch the atv will crank but not start. I tried to jump the solenoid and it did nothing. I am stumped. also I noticed gas leaking from the carburetor and when I took the filter off there was gas in it. I cleaned the carburetor and nothing was stuck or clogged. can someone help me out.
  4. I have a 2011 linhai Bighorn atv 200 it looses power at half throttle and beyond and of course the rpm's drop,I've replaced the cdi, coil, stator, regulator and the Carb, still have a problem
  5. this air tube just sticks out, port on the other side of it needs to go somewhere but i cant find it! it attaches to this. quad runs ok, boggs at 1/4 throttle, but i havent cleaned the carb and service it yet. just got it a week ago, and havent had tome to fool around yet, besides seeing how it runs. still need to touch up some things on it, but this part is stumping me.
  6. Hey guys, I sure hope someone can help me out here... A few weeks ago, while we were out riding, Mini-Me's four wheeler started acting up. Anything above about ¼ throttle would make it bog real bad and if you didn’t back off the gas it would shut off. Seemed like it was starving for gas or air. No obvious fix on the trail so took it home figuring it was a fouled carb. Took the carb off; not serviceable. Put it back on and the problem was gone. All I did was unbolt it, pull it out, cuss about the shaved screw heads, and put it back. Ran fine for a few days then did it again. Took carb off and put back on again (hell, it worked last time) and while I was at it I bought a good plug and replaced that. Didn’t fix it this time. Ordered a new carb under waranty. Company took three weeks to send me the wrong part. I ordered a new one myself which showed up Friday. Saturday morning I had him ride it pre-replacement to verify issue was still there; it was. Anything over ¼ gas it would bog and die. Replaced carb (fyi – slightly larger – 20mm new vs. 19mm stock) and it was back up and running. Better then before, seemed a little quicker and sounded MUCH better. For a few hours… Then the bog and stall came back. Below is everything I tried last night – Took fuel line from tank straight to carb – bypassed filter/petcock – no change Took crankcase line (that is hooked to the air filter with a check valve in-line) off case – no change Took air filter completely off – no change Gassed it until it started acting up and then started shutting down the choke (to much air?) – no change Held the back end up (now it’s not “under load”) and revved it up – no change Adjusted the idle up close (doing it by ear) to where it wanted to cut out when using the throttle – continued to idle fine; no bog. Blipped the throttle and it bogged down. I’m going to go get a can of starter fluid to check for air leaks around intake, some carb cleaner to clean up the carb, and a new fuel filter to replace Chinese one. Don’t expect any of that to fix it, but ruling things out. Also; this may not be related but…. The battery on this thing is a POS. When we pull it out in the morning it doesn’t have the juice to crank it, gotta “boost” it for ~5 min. before it will crank. Usually once boosted and we get it started it’s good the rest of the day. Well yesterday he shut it off and when he tried to start it again it wouldn’t bust off. I did a little investigating and discovered that if you hit the starter and give it some throttle it acts like the battery is dead (slow turnover, wont fire). But once you let off the gas, it spins over slow a time or two (clearing the pressure?) and then the revs start to pick up and it will start. Almost like it’s over pressure in the cylinder if you open the throttle… Because of the above I’m thinking maybe an exhaust valve issue??? To tight, not letting pressure out fast enough maybe? Maybe that’s causing the bog when you give it gas??? I’m going to get a set of feeler gauges and check/adjust the valve clearance. Again, don’t expect a magic fix but it’s something to look at. I know these things require periodic valve adjustment, but I can’t see it being out of whack at < 10 hours. I was going to pull the plug, hook it up and ground it while I hit the starter to verify that I’m getting fire, but it starts and idles fine, so no sense in that. I’ll still pull to inspect (correct color, no oil, etc.) just for fun. I don’t think it’s anything mechanical, symptoms/trouble shooting so far just don’t fit. Which leaves electrical; the CDI boxes on these things are know issues, but 99% of the time they are good/no good. So why does it start/idle if that’s bad? I suppose it could be bad and only displaying once the revs come up, but that’s a LOOOOONG shot. Only $5 so if tonight’s tinkering doesn’t fix/isolate the issue I’ll probably get one just to say it’s been replaced. Aside from the CDI there is a battery (for starting only), a magneto, a voltage regulator/rectifier, and a million electrical connections. I haven’t gone thru them all but I can’t believe it’s a bad connection or the magneto because of the repeatability of the problem. It doesn’t come and go on its own; it runs fine, then all of the sudden won’t come off idle without cutting out. Take the old carb off, put it back on; it’s fixed (for a while). Take the old carb off, put it back on, it’s not fixed. Take the old carb off, put a new one on; it’s fixed (for a while). Which leads me back to mechanical, but I’ve checked (almost) all of that. Small chance it’s the valve adjustment, but I’ll verify that tonight. If it jumped timing it would be jacked from idle so I don’t think that’s it, plus it showed up, went away, came back, etc... If timing was off it wouldn’t run at all, or would run like crap from idle on; correct? Oh, also – When I started looking at it last night (right after it started acting up) the air intake (short, curved aluminum “tube” going from the carb to the head) was hot. REALLY HOT. Maybe he over heated it, but before I put the new carb on he test rode it cold and it still did it. Short of a .40 thru the engine block, anything else you can think of? I’m running short on ideas after the above…
  7. I got a (2006 I think) Guangdong Jialing Chinese 110cc that I got from a friend that only needed a battery. Ran great but died a few times but would start right back up. Then it quit due to no spark. So I replaced the CDI, Coil, and Spark Plug but now it has spark but its intermittent. Could it be the stator magneto or voltage regulator that would cause the spark to intermit like that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. I bought a little Chinese atv for my grandkids on a sale. It came with an owners manual and a separate parts book. Neither of them say what brand or make the thing is. And the parts book is absolutely useless as there is no address to order parts from. I think the float in the carb is stuck as it runs rich and floods itself out after only a few minutes. When the engine is cold it runs like a top. The kids can really get the little thing moving, but after it warms up a bit it runs too rich and eventually stops. Any suggestions besides lighting it on fire?
  9. Hello, My son has an 05 or 06 200cc quad. Not sure of the manufacturer. The only markings or on the crankcase that reads Cobra 200cc. The rear wheels are locked and we would like to find a service manual or manufacturer to order parts. Thanks
  10. Can anyone help me with adjusting this carb? It's on a 70cc yamoto. It has a slow idle, so I want to start with that. Is the screw in the center of this picture the idle adjust? It has a spring around it. And the one immediately to its left (the actual screw is kinda recessed in) air/fuel mix? Thanks guys.
  11. may have figured out the no spark, well .07volt spark stator is broken off.. here is a picture https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/s720x720/292321_10151054012276985_387494063_n.jpg the black piece is siting where the cover goes over the timing chain to the top right, where do i buy this is it Stator Magneto 03 for Chinese 50-70-90-110cc Engines - Sm272-03 - 50cc - 125cc Stators - Stator Magnetos - Electrical Parts - In Stock at Sunlpartsonline https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/s720x720/428895_10151054014976985_1428975860_n.jpg looks like some rubbing on the flywheel, do i need to change that too?? here is the atv i had a post earlier today, I dont know the make or model it is chinese... think its a 90 as the head says 10cm3 on it... pic of the quad.. https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/423564_10151052975896985_355334298_n.jpg Also what kind of lube is recomended on the timing chain?
  12. Hey everyone, I just wanted to check back in and let everyone know I've added many more manuals to my site. I'm still only charging a $5.00 (no tax) fee at my store. Check it out if you're looking to pick one up! Store: Atv Manuals Online - Your Source for Chinese Atv Manuals & More - Buy from Atvmanualsonline Thanks!
  13. Does anyone know how to dismantle the axle on a Chinese 110 atv I don't know extract model or the motor say united motors, I think it is a 110. I need to get at the rear gear and shaft out. The teeth are striped and I need to replace them. If you have a service manual or photos it would be great.
  14. Anyone know if you can change a drive shaft to chain drive. If so how hard is it and what would you have to do. Thanks
  15. Hey guys. I just decided to come on here and spread the word about my site, hope this is a good place! I read the rules when registering and didn't see anything against advertising so please let me know if I'm wrong! Anyways, I have gathered a bunch of manuals from around the web. It has taken A LOT of time but I've done it. I work for a parts company and figured it would be useful for our customers to add it to the site... so now not only has some of them been added there, but I made my own website to make a little money on the side with them as well! I don't ask much, actually every manual on my site is only $5.00, downloadable straight from the website after the order is completed. These are the service manuals that are supposed to come with the ATVs, Scooters, etc. in the English version like you had just had it shipped from China to the U.S. The site isn't fully finished yet, I actually have about 300 more unsorted in a folder that I haven't even touched yet. If you want to check it out, go to ATVManualsOnline. If you have more than one that you need, let me know either by the contact e-mail on that site or a private message on here and I could possibly give a small discount (even though $5.00 is super cheap anyways, I don't mind at all to help everyone out). Sorry if the site is a little ugly right now, I'm still working on it and it's my first website I've ever made on my own so don't overly criticize! I plan to make it look nicer and have way more content as time permits. Also if you have a Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, etc. I'm becoming an affiliate with Clymer soon through my site. They're working on getting me a promo code and it should be done this week. They gave me a percentage of what I could earn. I turned around and said "What about if I sell it for cheaper on my site, I take less profit, and you still get your percentage as if it was the full price?" and the representative said I could do it and that he even liked the idea, so I may even get to get the Clymer brand for you guys with the major brands at a huge discount (those are the only ones on the site not $5.00, but they have their own section and aren't even available for sale yet as the section says (Coming Soon)). I'll let you know when I get the promo code or you can check on my site periodically to see if I have them loaded yet. Anyways I'm terribly sorry for the huge wall of text - Just wanted to get the site out there so people can benefit! TLDR; I'm selling a lot of manuals on ATVManualsOnline for only $5.00 if you'd like to have a printable backup you can save on your computer. Thanks everyone, Let me know if you have any questions - I'll try to check often for private messages etc. for discount messages and whatever other questions you have!
