2000 Bayou misses out about half the time. I have done the following Cleaned the Carburetor. Replaced the plug and check the plug wire, its wire, Checked the plug boot it ohms out at 500 ohms Motor has 125# compression. I did find a barked place on the pickup coil wiring coming out of the motor case. I pulled the cover and ohm the pickup coil. It ohms at 470 ohms. I repaired the barked insulation and reinstalled. I replaced the igniter with a new one. I was told that the voltage regulator could be the problem so I unplugged it and made made sure the battery was fully charged and started it and ran it off the battery only. Still misses out. I added a jumper wire to ground on the igniter to make sure there was not a bad ground somewhere. I also added a hot wire to the igniter to be assured that the key or kill switch was not the problem. Nothing I have done has corrected the problem. Attached is a video. Note: the video camera does not show what the human eye sees. The timing light does not light when it misses but the human eye sees that it is dim during the times the video shows it not flashing. Hey guys, brand new to the post. I have a 2000 Quadmaster 500. Long story short, my atv wouldn't start this spring due to gummed carb. Pulled it apart and cleaned everything, and replaced float needle. Put everything back together, cleaned the fuel tank and put new fuel in her. She started great and idled fabulous. I went to go for a rip and found I only had half power. Flat out throttle and I only had maybe 10-15 miles an hour. It wasn't choking or flooding or running rough. It just felt like half power. HELP!!

Please Please any help -- I'm replaceing my right front half shaft and I dont know how to get the axle out... I got the axle apart and pulled the entire unit away from the Quad - I have a complete axle to replace it. When I tapped the axle, it pulled everything away from the quad. That's not what I wanted as the 'green egg' (that my axle slides into) came away from the differential I can't dis-attach it from my axle. I pulled the boot back and can see the bearings in the 'green egg' but cant get the axle out of the green egg-- it wants to pull the bearings out and they wont come out either. (which is good) - I dont really want to pull that out/apart and mess with those. I wanted to pull the axle out and slip mine in. How do I get that out???
