I have a 2007 Polaris Outlaw 525 KTM. The rear wheels locked up while riding. I read where it could be a retention bolt or retainer plate. Could anyone tell me where they are located and how difficult it is to fix. Thanks

I have a continuous problem with the inner CV boot tearing repeatedly! Does anyone know of an upgraded CV boot or a better fix than the factory boot?

I know that different companies measure they're quads at different places and therefore the ground clearences can be quite different. Does the outlaw 525 have the same/simular ground clearence to the 400? I need something with the ground clearence of the 400, but a little more guns. thanks!

I have a 2009 Polaris outlaw 90 quad. I have no spark. I'm trying to narrow it down what's wrong. I'm wondering how many of the stator wires are supposed to have juice? As of right now, 2 of the 4 have juice. One goes to the headlights and the other one goes back to the regulator.

I just purchased a 2006 Outlaw 500 and found a loose ground wire. I need help to find out where this wire should be attached. The main ground wire goes from the negative battery terminal to the chassis directly above the battery. The ground wire I need help with attaches to the same spot on the chassis above the battery however; the opposite end of the ground wire is loose. Can any of you Outlaw 500 owners tell me where this ground wire should go? A picture would help tremendously!!! I have searched for wiring diagrams and repair manuals but all of those free downloads are shut down due to copyright issues. Thanks for your help. Doug

I have two of these quads and right now both have torn inner cv boots. The stock boots look the cheesy p.o.s and will continue to tear on a regular basis. Does anyone know of an upgraded more durable cv boot for these machines?

i was creek riding and my quad died tried to start it back and it would just turn over. so i checked the airbox for water and there was none it was dry, i let it sit for 15mins and it finally started. i rode for about 2hrs then went home. went to start it a week after riding and it would just turn over and wouldnt fire replaced spark plug as dealer suggested and still wont start. i pulled plug out checked it plugged in to the coil n touchin the head no spark. when it s in neutral the neutral light also wont work but if u put it in gear it does until u pull the clutch lever in. i need help the dealer said maybe the stator went bad but another person told me it wouldnt have anything to do with the ignition?? help please

im looking to get a new quad soon i was set on gettin a kfx 450r but now im not sure im thinking about the outlaws anyone has any input on ether the 450 or 525s not irs i would love to hear about it!!!! thanks oh!! i do mostly aggressive trail riding (gncc) but i do like to jump and hit the track sometimes quads i have had (87 honda250x,97 yamaha warrior,01 yamaha banshee,03 yamaha raptor,03 kfx400)

If anyone can offer any assistance in replacing the rear cv boot any help would be appreciated. I am having trouble getting the rear shaft off of the quad. I figured the part would have some sort of manual but that would be too easy. Thanks again!

I am actually looking to purchase two quads within the next 6 months. One utility, one sport. However, I am up in the air between Yamaha vs Polaris and what engine size to get. Speed is good, power is good and price is always a factor but no too worried in the end. Also, factoring this decision will also be based on the sport quad I purchase which, shocker, Yamaha YFZ450x or Polaris Outlaw 525 IRS. I honestly don't know which brand to purchase. I will not be racing at all but wouldn't mind hitting a track if available just to mess around in and most of my riding will be Northern Minnesota trails, groomed trails at that. Sorry this was a lengthy read and I am sure these quads have been talked about before but this is my first time on this site ever. Thanks for your thoughts and don't fry me too bad. I know these sport quads are somewhat apples to oranges but let me hear your thought anyways.

I have to take my motor completely apart on my 525 Outlaw with the KTM motor. Any suggestions on mods while I have it apart?

:aargh:My Outlaw is leaking oil out off the seem in the engine block just above the rear oil filter area and possible another spot in that seem. Anyone else had this problem? What would cause this? I thought KTM was suppose to be a good engine, thats the only reason I risk getting a polaris.
