  1. We had a few days of rain & then a cold front came thru our area. The claimed we had snow in the mountains, so I went for a ride to see for myself ... and what did I find ?? ........... SNOW !! ......... Not a lot mind you, but it was fun. When I unloaded the bike the temps were 27 degs F (-2.7c) & warmed up all the way to 33 degs F (0.5c) ... for about an hour. The rest of the day the temps stayed at 31 degs F (-0.5c) ... and then the storm came in ........ WOO HOO !! I will say however, there was no dust or bugs !! I did see a few people as the muzzle loader deer hunt was on & I think I was the only one that saw a buck !! ... Saw a few other deer & then a family of Mooses ... a cow & calf & a nice bull !! I got as close as I dared, making sure there were at least a couple trees between him & I & took what photo's I could .... Here's a short video of the days ride, make sure you watch it in 1080p & I hope you enjoy it !! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adwkD9J1Dmw]01 Oct 2014 First Snow - YouTube[/ame] ...
  2. I had put a "Teaser" video on Youtube a day or two ago, but didn't put it on the forum. Here's the full version of the "Last Track Ride of The Season". Sure hate to see the tracking season come to an end ... but it's only about 234 days from now until it returns, so .. PRAY FOR SNOW !! :woot: We had a fantastic day on the snow & this video is longer than usual for me. There was just to much good stuff & I still left a lot of good stuff out of this. So, grab some popcorn & sit back & enjoy this 15 1/2 minute movie !! :lurk5c: Hope you enjoy it .... 3. Got the tracks put on the Outty & decided to run up to the mountains today to check out the snow conditions, do some more testing of the Drift GHOST HD Helmet Camera I just got, test out some of the camera mounts I put on my helmet, and a few other things. The day was overcast, temps were cool at 23 deg F with winds 40 to 50 mph and light snow. It was GREAT !! :woot: I took some video in 1080p, 960p, WVGA & the majority in 720p. After looking at them when I returned home, to me, the 960 & 720p looked the best. I added two camera mounts to my helmet. One is on the side of the face shield & the videos with the camera there are pretty good with not much helmet in them. The other mount is on top of the helmet & you get an “Overall” view. Not sure which location I like better. Both mounts are stick-on with 3M sticky stuff, they seem to hold real well … however, I was walking thru the trees to take some photo’s, a branch hit the mount glued to the side of the face shield & popped that camera off like it wasn’t even glued. I’m sure the cold temps didn’t help either. I also took some video with one of my older HD170 cameras. The exposure setting on both the HD170 & the GHOST were set at zero … and you’ll see that the HD170 is much darker. So on overcast days, I’ll have to remember to set that camera at +1. I must’ve hit the remote too many times at some point today too, because I had 177 photo’s instead of video. Dang it, that means I’m gonna have to re-read the instructions ……….. again …. Here’s a short video of today’s ride, hope you enjoy it … [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8Mlhopr9KY]12 Dec 2012 - 1st Track Ride - 2012-2013 Season - YouTube[/ame] ....
  4. Yup ... another video from Gunny ... get use to it, winter is coming & then I'll be posting even more ... :comp10: Went for a ride last Tuesday .... the weather was great ... windy, cold, rain, sleet, a little snow, sun, mud ... no bugs, ... more people than I figured, but it is the Elk Season ... so .... but all & all, it was a great day !! Just put a little video together so ya could see what a great time I had while you were at work ...... OOPS ... I didn't mean to rub it in ............. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!! .............. Ya know, it's great to get out in the middle of the week to go for a ride .......... .......... Make sure ya change the vid to 720p when ya view it ... it'll look a LOT better !! [ame] [/ame]...
  5. Went for a ride yesterday with my two brothers & the wifes !! ....... Snow'in to beat the band when we started but the sun came out later in the day ....... what a GREAT Day !! We got up to 10,400 ft ...... I got surprised & got stuck in a 3 ft drift ... had the wife get off the bike & I was able to drive out ... so no winching this day !! Here's a little slide show of some of the photo's we took !! ...... these are not in order ... just threw it together !! ....... Enjoy !! 9. Hey everyone. I just talked with the owner of Rolling Meadows ATV Park in Roanoke AL. He is going to issue 100 season passes for $200.00. The season pass is good for the person that purchases the pass and his/her (1) Machine. If you want to bring multiple machines you will have to pay the regular daily rate, unless you purchase a season pass for each machine. The regular passenger/guest (person riding with you) will still be $5.00 per, unless the rider is under the age of 12 they are free. The season pass is non transferable. Pass includes: 10 months of riding and camping on the days they are open. (the park is closed during the months of November and December). I think this is one heck of a deal, that works out to be $20.00 per month to ride your machine. You cant beat that deal. The owner will start issuing the passes this weekend July 17th, 18th, and 19th to the first 100 machines or people which ever comes first. Thanks, Tony

  11. Polaris RANGER RZR takes 2008 Racing Season by Storm Jagged X, Eichner and Yokley win series Minneapolis, October 31, 2008 – The Polaris RANGER RZR continues to be a force by impressively taking the Best in the Desert, WORCS and GNCC racing championships for 2008. “Polaris Racing is very excited to have three series championships for 2008,” said Eric Nault, race team manager for Polaris. “The side-by-side race teams did an awesome job with their RANGER RZRs, and we’re convinced their dedication will result in many more championships.” Jagged X and their No. 1919 RANGER RZR took their second Best in the Desert Points Championship by winning their fourth race in a row in the series. They sealed the championship in the sixth out of the seventh race, at the Golden West Cycle LV 150 where pilots Brandon Schueler and Blake Van de Loo started in fifth position. After only 11 miles The Jagged X team had made their way to second position where they would stay for the larger part of the race and took the lead to finish first. The No. 1919 leads the class scoring an impressive 440 points to the second place finisher’s 292 points. Polaris/Lone Star/Eichner Racing’s Doug Eichner captured the top spot for the WORCS Side-by-Side title on his RANGER RZR with six podium finishes. Mark Holz and his RANGER RZR finished a respective fourth with three firsts and one second in the four races he competed in. Multi-time Pro and Pro Production GNCC Winner, William Yokley raced the Polaris RANGER RZR in GNCC’s UTV Open Modified class and went undefeated taking the GNCC UTV Championship.
