About Me

My Garage

  1. Just wanted to let all quad riders / racers know there is a oval dirt track race this sunday at Beever Creek Raceway. I spoke with the promoter and no special tires are required so if your curious or have been taking a break from racing, come on down and check it out. Home Page The website has the wrong date listed. The race will be on Sunday the 27th, not Saturday the 26th as listed on the beevercreekspeeday site. please see https://www.facebook.com/TNValleyflattrackers Hope to see you there!........ On SUNDAY
  2. I had put a "Teaser" video on Youtube a day or two ago, but didn't put it on the forum. Here's the full version of the "Last Track Ride of The Season". Sure hate to see the tracking season come to an end ... but it's only about 234 days from now until it returns, so .. PRAY FOR SNOW !! :woot: We had a fantastic day on the snow & this video is longer than usual for me. There was just to much good stuff & I still left a lot of good stuff out of this. So, grab some popcorn & sit back & enjoy this 15 1/2 minute movie !! :lurk5c: Hope you enjoy it .... 3. Being female’s in a male dominated sport, we have quite a few different struggles. One of the things that are often overlooked is maintaining a "girly" image, even when we are riding in the dirt and mud, and smell like gas and sweat. So, What to do? Not to worry, QuadGirls.com is here to help! We have the tips and tricks to stay beautiful at the track after the helmet comes off. Dirt on your face? Never a disgrace! Situation: You had a great race, and came off the track to have a bunch of people waiting to take pictures, and congratulate you. Problem? The track was dusty, and you know your face is probably covered with the dirt and grime. No time to get to a shower, and no place to wash your face and nowhere to hide. What to do?! Solution: Baby wipes can be a racing girls best friend. From dirty hands, to your face, a quick wipe can be perfect to clean up fast at the track when your away from a sink. Not to mention, they are ‘throw-aways’ and wont need washed which is especially important when you come back home. Ware Wolf Legs Without the Full Moon? Situation: You’re at a really warm track for the weekend with your truck, a tent, and a handy dandy port-a-john. After the race, you want to put some shorts on, but your legs are hairier than most of the men there. What to do? Solution: Leg hair can grow so fast, but there are many ways to slow it down. Of course there is the traditional waxing gimmicks that supposedly “don’t hurt”, and I wish you luck with that. But for me, keeping my legs clean shaved starts before I leave for the weekend. Shaving with hair conditioner will leave you leg hair thinner, softer, and less noticeable. This quick fix will last a few days, and although your hair will grow, it wont be as easy to see. Crampin Your Style? Situation: It’s that wonderful time of month once again, but this time its also a big race or ride. Your cramping up so bad you can barely stand up, let alone ride. To tell the guys “I can’t ride today” is defiantly out of the question, but riding seems to be to much too. What to do?? Solution: For some time now, women have been able to look to menstrual pills such as Midol to solve some of the cramping and bloating. Midol can often be a very useful tool, and for some, is enough. For other ladies, a stick on heating pad by Playtex can be a great relief, and will move with you when your ride. Helmet Fro’s are for the Bro’s Situation: You just came back from a great ride, and you’re about to take your helmet off and strut your stuff through the pits, until you remember what’s under that helmet… HELMET HAIR!!! Solution: When you’re riding, a helmet is always a must, which also means helmet hair. Not to fear, lady racers/riders have been working on this folly for quite some time. Racers such as Angela Moore and Heather Byrd wear their hair in a French braid to keep it neat and together under the helmet. For the ladies who don’t have the dreads for braids, try using a bandana. Bandana’s are cheap, and can be stylish. It’s easy to get a color that matches your outfit, and can be worn under the helmet and will keep sweat out of your eyes. All In all, as ladies and racers, we have a little more to struggle with than just the average guy. Keep these tips in mind and you can keep beauty in racing. ________________________________________________________________ What are some beauty tips you ladies have to share?
  4. Put a little video together using timelapse ... what a pain ... of installing the tracks on my Can-Am. I didn't include taking the front A-Arms guards off, the rear CV Boot protectors off, of me greasing the bike, fixing a loose front brake rotor, and swapping out the Elka's for my Can-Am HPG shocks for the winter. Anyway, hope you enjoy the video .... Now … if it would JUST SNOW !! [ame] [/ame]...
  5. Mx track will be prepped to ride this weekend, Saturday and Sunday May 25th and 26th. We also have the turn track, and we have the SX track for all to try out. It's not completed yet but is ride-able. Trails are also open ride. Come out and join us, the weekend will sunny. Gate opens at 9am - 7pm. $20 per rider. Visit our website for more info Paradise Offroad Park or call (518) 260-7856. ATV's are welcome both on and off the track.

  7. Yup, some more Track'in Po** for your viewing enjoyment !! :smilielol5c::smilielol5c::smilielol5c: The holidays are over & everyone went back to work & school, so I decided to go for a ride yesterday. … while my rid’in buddy stayed home … sicker than a dirty dog !! :pukec: It sure looked like the sledders where out in large numbers because the snow was tore up almost everywhere. But holiday weeks tend to do that !! :bangheadc: We really need more snow. There’s sagebrush and stuff stick’in out all over. And hitting a hidden log or rock not only scares the crap out of ya, it jars your teeth a mite too !! :shock2: Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of snow to get stuck in, but what we have is dry, powdery, windblown stuff. If you break thru the crust … or hit a packed crusty area on one side, yet the other side is soft & powdery … and wind blown into a ditch … well, it tends to be WORK !!! :toetap05c: It was kinda cool when I started, my temp gauge read minus 10 degs F … yet, it warmed all the way up to 11 degs F above freezing. Had a blast and did 44.5 miles … so it wasn’t too bad !! :woot: Here’s a video of the days fun times. Hope you enjoy it !! Remember, change the video quality to 720p for the best viewing enjoyment !! :coolgleamAc: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2jgTlcO0-s]02 Jan 2013 - Curtis Creek Ride - YouTube[/ame] ...
  8. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to view and hopefully reply to this postings. I have developed a patented UNIVERSAL track conversion kit, which can be used on SPORT or Utility version ATV's. I have spent 4 years in the design and countless prototypes. In my opinion, my kit blows everyone else out of the water. I have 3 working prototypes that have been tested by varies pro riders, they have been unsuccessful in breaking them. I would like to share the advantages of my kits and get your opinion, if I should take this to the next level (manufacturing and production). I am hesitant due to incredible amounts of capital involved in the production and marketing that this project would require, but I believe that there is a place and a value for my product line in our sport. The advantages of my kit are the following: > Can be used on SPORT or Utility Quads. > Increased stability, side to side which reduces the possibility of the machine flipping backwards. > Nearly ZERO loss in speed and performance unlike other kits. > The tracks will not fall off during hair pin turns. > Built for extreme riding and jumping. > Maintains stock ride height. > Used in sand, mud, hard pack surfaces, SNOW. I have made ski kits which can easily be installed on the front, so it can be used as a snowmobile in the winter. It rides like a ATV but drives like a snowmobile! If anyone is interested, I have just posted 3 short videos on YouTube of my prototypes. 9. Got the tracks put on the Outty & decided to run up to the mountains today to check out the snow conditions, do some more testing of the Drift GHOST HD Helmet Camera I just got, test out some of the camera mounts I put on my helmet, and a few other things. The day was overcast, temps were cool at 23 deg F with winds 40 to 50 mph and light snow. It was GREAT !! :woot: I took some video in 1080p, 960p, WVGA & the majority in 720p. After looking at them when I returned home, to me, the 960 & 720p looked the best. I added two camera mounts to my helmet. One is on the side of the face shield & the videos with the camera there are pretty good with not much helmet in them. The other mount is on top of the helmet & you get an “Overall” view. Not sure which location I like better. Both mounts are stick-on with 3M sticky stuff, they seem to hold real well … however, I was walking thru the trees to take some photo’s, a branch hit the mount glued to the side of the face shield & popped that camera off like it wasn’t even glued. I’m sure the cold temps didn’t help either. I also took some video with one of my older HD170 cameras. The exposure setting on both the HD170 & the GHOST were set at zero … and you’ll see that the HD170 is much darker. So on overcast days, I’ll have to remember to set that camera at +1. I must’ve hit the remote too many times at some point today too, because I had 177 photo’s instead of video. Dang it, that means I’m gonna have to re-read the instructions ……….. again …. Here’s a short video of today’s ride, hope you enjoy it … [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8Mlhopr9KY]12 Dec 2012 - 1st Track Ride - 2012-2013 Season - YouTube[/ame] ....

  13. The last two weekends I have been taking equipment home from work and turning a friends' blackberry infested field into a little track. I should have some pics and maybe some video tomorrow. My camera isn't working, but my buddies girlfriend was taking pictures and video of us riding around a little bit, and some of me working on the track with a backhoe. I am hoping to get things finnished up tomorrow, it is still a bit rough and hard to ride on, but it is coming along ok.
