Trying to resurrect an old Bayou and I found that there is a constant 12v coming out of the plug wire? This is even happening with cdi removed.

I just picked up a 2004 Yamoto 70 quad in a trade (for something I was hoping to get $50 for) I am told that this is a knock off honda?... The guy I got it from said, that he thinks the ignition coil is bad... I think the problem is much simpler & that it's just not plugged in. The attached picture is of under the seat where the battery goes. The red and green obviously land on the battery terminals, but where does that square plug go? I can not find any open connectors... Could there be a small harness that's missing that also lands on the battery, and connects to this plug? Any help is appreciated.

If you look at my previous posts, you'll see I'm completely new to riding. I don't know much of anything about riding or mechanical issues. I picked up a 2008 Kawasaki KFX 450R and just happened to notice a wire dangling about a week ago. There's no telling how long it's been this way. I noticed it just before I took it out to the motocross track and gambled on the fact the it wasn't important enough to matter. The quad ran fine but I have to figure out what this is for before I take it out again this weekend. I questioned a few friends before coming here and none of them could tell me, definitively, what it is. Below is a link to a short video, showing the wire. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance. Wire - YouTube

I just purchased a 2006 Outlaw 500 and found a loose ground wire. I need help to find out where this wire should be attached. The main ground wire goes from the negative battery terminal to the chassis directly above the battery. The ground wire I need help with attaches to the same spot on the chassis above the battery however; the opposite end of the ground wire is loose. Can any of you Outlaw 500 owners tell me where this ground wire should go? A picture would help tremendously!!! I have searched for wiring diagrams and repair manuals but all of those free downloads are shut down due to copyright issues. Thanks for your help. Doug

I'm sure people have heard about Can am's little trick about cutting the pink wire that goes into the CDI. This will change the mapping or something like that. What Can am doesn't tell people is that it will VOID their warranty. This is supposed to be like a performance up grade. Honda's TRX450 has a similar set up. If you remove the hood piece, you will see the CDI box. If you remove the WHITE wire it will allow the TRX to rev up 1000 more RPMs. This will do nothing for your performance if the internals of your motor are stock. This WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
