When I push down on the rear brake pedal, it makes the left hand brake very sloppy. Is there a way to adjust that? I have a 2007 Suzuki Vinson

I have completely replaced my front brake shoes, hoses, and master cylinder. I have bled the brakes the best I could. I am still unable to build up much pressure. The wheel cylinders only push out about 1/8" when the handle is squeezed. What should be the typical travel on the cylinder for the brake shoe to hit the drum? I've used a brake bleeder, but still can't get all of the air out. I'm not sure what else to do. Any thoughts?

I replaced the front and rear brakes on my 98 King Quad 300 today. The right front is dragging. it had plenty of clearance when I installed the drum. it turned normal until I tried to test drive it. Wheel cylinders were dry and not leaking. Also even with a dragging Right front brake they are weak. I wonder if it is something with the self adjuster and how can I get the drum back off. I just recently bought it for cheap because he got laid off of work so I don.t know any history on it. It didn't do it before but the brakes were very weak and thats why new brake shoes. old oned wereabout 60% gone. Thanks.

Just curious as to why the engine brake wouldn't hold back any longer on an 08 Honda Rubicon. Any one feel like weighing in on this issue??

Has anyone used the Caltric brand or Kevlar brake pads sold on ebay? The price is 12.00 for a set and the dealer wants 37.00 for a set of front pads for my prairie. I do know sometimes you get what you pay for but heck 37 more than what the pads cost for my truck!

I have a 1996 kodiak 400 and the only time my tail light is working is when my lights are on. I have replaced the bulb and still no brake light or running light comes on without the head light being on. It does not come on when I use the foot brake or hand brake either. any ideas out there as to what my problem might be? Thx for the help!!! corkey

Ok I have replaced the rear brake shoes on my Eiger and still have the same problem with them just not working. I have tried everything I have even loosened both adjustment nuts on the swing arm by the drum as far out as possible and then turned the shaft for the brakes so they would start pushed out a little and then put the swing arm on and am still having a problem with them just not working. I will tighten the adjustment bolt all the way back in after putting the swing arm on the shaft and squeezing the brake lever moves the shoes but they for some reason don't touch the drum. I bought a new set and both have the exact same amount of pad on them. So my question is is there anything I should be looking for or doing or if someone has pics they could post of their setup I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Mike

Does anyone know where I can get a kit to convert the single lever braking system into a split Front / Rear system for the sportsman? I have looked around and have not been able to find one. Would really love to have seperate brakes on my XP
