Recently got a 95 KLF300 and have been fixing a lot of electrical issues and finally got it running. It ran good for a day then went to start it the next and it was already done for and not starting. Found that the plug had been fouled and replaced that and now it runs. The problem I have though is that It will only idle with just a little choke on. Will not start with no choke and when choke is applied it revs itself to extremely high RPMs. Before I adjusted the air mixture screw it would only run if the choke was OFF and afterwards it only runs with choke. If I try to give it any throttle it immediately bogs down and will stall out. Starts back up like nothing happened. Timing is dead on. I have a brand new Chinese carb, old owner didn't have OEM on it. What could be the problem?

87 klf 300a no brake handle pressure. I've replaced the master cylinder, vacuum bled both sides and am getting clear fluid out with no air bubbles. There are no signs of fluid leaking anywhere, but still cannot get handle pressure. I pulled the hubs to check the shoes and cylinders and all looks normal. This system was dry when i bought the machine, but dont know for how long. Any suggestions to where I should look next?? I'm baffled.

I recently purchased a 1997 KLF 300, and I also need a service manual. I have no spark. I’ve replaced the CDI and coil with spark plug wire coming from it but still no spark. I need the correct ohms for the stator on my 1997 Kawasaki KLF 300. Does anyone have that information? I also need the ohm measurement for the pickup coil on my 1997 Kawasaki KLF 300. Does anyone have this information? I checked the pickup coil on my 1997 Kawasaki KLF 300 and it measures 438 ohms? Is that good or bad?

I just bought a 91 and when I went to change the oil in the rear diff it had water in it (milky oil). There are no leaks in the seals so I think it's coming in the vent tube. Thing is I can't find it. Anyone know where it is. Thanks

I have a 2004 Kawasaki KLF300. I’m not sure What is the black/yellow, brown, and red wire wrapped together in the wire hornets of a klf300. I got it used and notice some wires not connected. They are located in the front area The reason why I am asking because I’m having issues with it firing up. I cleaned the carb put new spark plugs and gas.

Bevinsee P15D H6M LED Headlight Bulb For Kawasaki ATV KLF220 300 KFX400 KVF300 I'm looking at replacing the headlamps on my 2001 KLF 300. These LEDs are out of my experience range. Supposedly they are "plug and play". What problems am I not aware of? Other controllers, ballast? Thanks, Cavry.

Hopefully this should be a quick. I'm just replacing Primary and secondary clutches on my Bayou / KLF300 4x4. The centrifugal clutch was totally shot so decided to change both the bell and centrifugal assembly. When I took it apart the centrifugal clutch retaining nut was loose 😒 so it’s obviously been apart before. Putting it back together I've noticed that the bell has a 1mm endfloat. The inside shim is in place, I've checked the thickness is correct 0.8mm and everything is as it should be. I've tried putting the original clutch parts back in and it’s the same. So the obvious question, is this endfloat normal? Thanks in advance guys.

My bayou was running. Turned it off. Went to start it again about 20 minutes later and nothing.... no electrical power. No lights, no neutral indicator light. Battery good. Jumped starter and it turns over but doesn't start. I'm not sure what the problem could be. Maybe ci igniter or rectifier?

Hi there, Ive never ben on a forum before but am looking for some answers to a couple of issues Im having with a KLF300 that I use on a farm. It seems to be running hot and after about 5 mins running will start to cough and splutter and eventually stop. Once cooled down will start 1st go. Has correct oil level and put in new spark plug. Im only a backyard mechanic but any suggestions would be most appreciated. SCWally
