Hello all, my first post, be gentle. My son just purchased a 1985 LT 250 EF and we can’t seem to get fuel to carburetor? The fuel lines are good, we vacuumed some fuel from the main and reserve lines, but still can’t get it to the bowl when starting. Our compression isn’t the greatest (120), and we will be doing a leak down test when the test kit gets here. In the meantime, I’m thinking fuel pump issues? Is there a way to test the fuel pump? Or any other suggestions? Thanks And no we don’t have the service manual for the LT 250 EF yet, it came with the “1985-1990 Suzuki LT230 & LT250 Service * Repair * Maintenance Manual” which is close but not correct.

Hey there! New guy here! So I bought an 87 250. I turn the key and it has ignition light. I press run and the engine turns over. Guy I bought it from said the carbs may need cleaning, I worked them good cleaned and blown out. I reinstalled the carb and still doing the same thing. It’s getting fuel, the battery is brand new and charged I’m lost here!( purchased a new carb on its way) anyone have any ideas

I have an erratic iddle problem i cheked all the air leaks i rebuild and cleaned the carb but it wont run straight it runs good but then slow and some times it stalls and its the second time the float implode

Just got the above mentioned quadrunner. First one ever. Always been a small engine tinkerer but figured I'd need a little help on this one.

Hey folks, brand newbie here. I just bought a pair of near identical quads, the difference is that 1 is a 1988 and 1 is a 1989. The 89 runs and the 88 does not. Turn the key up 1 click, no neutral or reverse lights. 2 clicks, still no neutral or reverse lights but the speedometer lights come on. Switch to run and hit the start button and nothing. Since I have 2 of the same and 1 runs I'm ok switching out parts.....but where do I start? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I recently rebuilt the motor on my neighbor's quad and I accidentally burnt the manual and now they are asking what oil to use so they can have some on hand. I know it was 10W40 but there was a minimum specifications like sp or sh. Also, does anyone know where I can get a cheap manual for this atv so I can replace the one I destroyed.

Can anyone help me price out the labor for the following work? I did the work for a friend and wanted to know a ball park on how much it would have cost to have done. Description of work done: changed oil and filter removed and installed: plastic fenders,exhaust,racks,head,cylinder,valves,piston,battery,air box,air filter,carburetor repaired fender cracks repaired winch cable+controls replaced cylinder rings+intake valve rewired to bypass faulty switches replaced starter button spring fixed many lost bolts adjusted rear brakes installed gas cap vent cleaned carburetor adjusted valves 2 plugs in left rear tire
