'98 Big Bear 350 Broken Crank??? in Yamaha ATV Forum Posted April 15, 2014 Own a 1998 Big Bear 350 4x4. Riding last summer down the road full throttle and the 4-wheeler backfires, dies, and rolls to a stop. When I pull on the pull start handle and rope, it is very easy to pull like there is no compression. Novice when it comes to engine diagnosis and teardown but I am thinking maybe I broke the crankshaft. Any ideas??? Potential cost???
