Was having a similar problem with my 1987 350 Big Bear. It had been used under very dusty conditions by previous owner. Pulled the rubber boot off of the back of the on/off key switch and it was stuffed with dirt, shorting out the switch. Engine would turn over, but no spark. Cleaned this boot out, never have had that problem since.

Thank you for the information. Will check them out.

Thank you for the information. I am a novice rider, the quad was given to me, and was not aware of an adapter for the throttle. I will have to look into that. If you have any information on where to find one, it would be appreciated. Thanks again.

I have an older (1987) Yamaha Big Bear 350. I have arthritis in my thumbs. Is it possible to replace the accelerator with a motorcycle accelerator (ie. twisting the handgrip)? This would be more comfortable for me due to the arthritis.

What I have against Putin is that those that don't agree with him or actively oppose him have a strange habit of turning up dead. Putin is ruthless in his control of Russia, and in his desire to hold sway over other nations.

Have you seen the list of mysteriously dead people associated with the Clinton's??

I've noticed wherever I go (news sites, financial sites, youtube, atvs, bikes, whatever) it seems to be dominated by conservatives. How is it that more people voted for Hillary when I rarely see a Hillary supporter? Do liberals not get online? Where are they?
They are in the cemeteries.
1987 Yamaha Big Bear 350 Twist Throttle

Forgot about this thread. I got a twist throttle kit thru Amazon (Kolpin 98020 Handy Throttle, Black) for about $32. Only had to replace the hand grip. It has a "finger" on it that pushes against the thumb accelerator. Works great. Big relief for my arthritic thumb.
