OK, heres the deal. My carb hadnt been right even after i cleaned it probably 10-12 times. I moved to Calgary a month and a half ago from Fort McMurray and hadnt played with the bikes much this summer at all. Both bikes were stored outside with the Big Bear semi dismantled. When i got to Calgary, i have a garage and got the itch to work on the bikes inside. Well, the carb was a write off, water had gotten inside and it looked soo nasty !! i cleaned it as best i could with conventional carb spray cleaner and put it back together. The bike didnt respond to the treatment. It ran, but wouldnt idle etc ... I looked online and saw the Chem Dip and read all the great reviews about it. Unfortunately it isnt available in Canada. Then i saw a write up about pine sol and the great results it was giving. As of right now, my carb is soaking in about $6 worth LOL. while it was in the pail for the first hour, i pulled it out to look at it, and was amazed ... the carb looks new. If it does to the inside what it did to the outside, i will have it made!! i will let it soak 24 hours and install back on the bike and give an update. i may have to soak it for 48, but i want to get it back together now ,,, Has anyone else tried this before? How were the results?
