Hello all, I normally restore Garden Tractors, but I was thrown a curve this weekend. My buddy bought this for $50 and wants me to get it running.... Oh my Grandson wants me to get it running too. So far, Pull starter works, has compression, no fire. PO had shorted the key switch, and put an external start push button. I re-worked those switches, but with a battery connected, I get na-da. I see this has a remote control module. I have completely re-wired LGTs but I am somewhat stumped with this.

New battery, and it turns over. I places a spark plug tester on the plug. no spark. Searched for a diagram, found the ones listed here, but no match. Ill take it back to him and recommend he takes it to a shop. I'm going back to garden tractors.

all they have is the stator and pick up coil under the left cover, and a rectifier/regulator, cdi box and coil, some have a resistor for an electric choke or something, I cant think of anything else, , other than that its wiring or switches. stator and pick and rectifier and coil are pretty easy to check if you have a manual. if they check good change the cdi, if its a 4 or 5 pin ac you can get one on flea bay for 5 bucks, and a 6 wire ac or dc for about 10, I just fixed a little arctic cat 90 with no fire. it was the cdi, I had an arctic cat 250 a while back that lost fire when it got hot, it was the rectifier,

      Hi all,
Looking for some help on a starter/bendix issue. Can Am outlander 450 2017. While cranking to start, the starter spins and engages into the ring gear. After a few seconds the bendix retracts while still spinning and there is no damaged teeth on the drive pulley.

I have a 1997 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4. It used to start right up. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't crank. I have a schematic for it so I started tracing the problem. I had no power at the starter solenoid. According to the schematic the power comes from the neutral switch and through the starter circuit cut out relay. I cannot locate the cut out relay on this machine.. If I apply power to the relay it will crank with the start button.
The neutral switch is hard to get to with all the brackets on this thing. I did find out from all my research that if I apply the rear brake lever it will start.
Does anybody know if the cut out relay exists and where it might be found?

I've got a 1995 220 Bayou and the electric start does not work.  When I got it the machine was pretty rough but I was told it ran less than a year ago.  The key switch had been cut off and wires  twisted after the key was lost.  I bought a new ignition switch and repaired the wiring and it is working correctly.  It is in neutral and the neutral light is on when the key is turned on but I get nothing when pressing the start button.  I verified there is no voltage going to the starter from the solenoid.  The fuse in the solenoid is good.  Something I found that is odd is that I get positive voltage(12 volts) to the brown, black, and white wires that run into the solenoid when the key is on.  That doesn't make sense to me but I could be wrong.  I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you in advance.
