Registration is now open for the ATV racing competitions at the Southern Monster Truck Showdown event in Gainesville, GA, October 24, 25 & 26, 2008. Hosted at the Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center at 1855 Calvary Church Road (a nice, covered arena), this show features some pretty wild monster truck action, of course, but this year also includes 2 classes of flat-track ATV racing ("Youth" for ages 12-17 and "Adult" obviously for those 18 & over)

Entry fee is $20 per racer, per date. All entry fees will become part of the purse, with 100% payback plus $250 added per class, per date. 1st through 3rd will be paid 50-30-20% respectively. You may enter 1, 2 or all 3 days, whichever you prefer, but pre-registration is HIGHLY recommended as we can only accept up to 20 racers per class, per day. To pre-register, send your name, hometown, date of birth and which day(s) you want to race to [email protected]

We will have some tech rules to keep things fairly even, but this will be fairly loose. We will require ALL riders to be wearing appropriate racing attire and gear (no tshirts, jeans or sneakers, etc.) Also, we run a "drama-free"ra show at all cost! No unsportsmanlike behavior or profanity, please, we have a lot of children in our audiences! Come with the intention of having a lot of fun and maybe winning some money!

Gates open to to the public Friday and Saturday at 6 pm with shows at 8 pm. There will be a mandatory driver's meeting at 7 pm Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, gates open to the public at Noon, mandatory driver's meeting at 1 pm, show begins at 2 pm. Make sure you're there in time for the driver's meeting, as you cannot race unless you attend.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us, we don't get the chance to check the boards often enough.

Look forward to seeing you there!!

I'm trying to help a buddy out with his bike (he's not really on the internet or familiar with these forums) and I'll admit that I am not super familiar with the transmission and clutches in these bikes. I owned a Brute a few years ago, but never had an issue like this that I had to troubleshoot.
So basically my buddy bought a group lot of 650's to build one good bike out of. He got it all put together and has it running but when he pushes on the throttle the clutch doesn't engage till the RPM's are quite high and even when its moving it doesn't really speed up, almost seems like its in "limp mode". He's tried 2 different transmissions so I don't think that's the problem.
Is there any adjustment on the clutch engagement? Anything else I can tell him to look at? Let me know if you need anymore information if you think you can help.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a really Heavy Duty ATV cover. I have bought several and they do keep the water off somewhat, but they are very thin and do not contour with the shape very well and water pools up in the rack louvers. I think i may be looking for a heavy canvas one, if anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.
