  1. Thanks! We really enjoy it! Plus were happy to announce that this year, Colt Ford will be rocking the masses! Tickets are just $15 and will be on sale Friday at Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park The rest of the event (minus entering Poker Run) is free, as is riding on the park! Hope yall can come!
  2. What’s up everyone! I wanted to drop by and fill everyone in on this year Haunted Forest Ride, which is slated for Oct 19-21 at Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park just east of Pineville, KY. The event has grown tremendously, with approximately 5,000 people at last year’s event. This year, we’re blowing the doors off this thing with an epicly huge event that everyone can enjoy. Brian Fisher of Fisher’s ATV World is back again to hang out with fans and get lots of amazing footage for his show on the Outdoor Channel. This year’s event will feature a huge concert that will rock the crowd with a heavy dose of country swag. Act will be announced in next few weeks. The concert is optional and tickets (in form of wristbands) will also serve as a VIP access to the Haunted Trail: people who have them will be able to go through the trail first. Plus, we just got a grant from Yamaha to make tons of killer new wooded trails all over Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park this summer and we will be making their official grand opening at the event. The Holler Crawlers have been working and planning for months about this year’s event, and we are confident it’s going to blow everyone away. We have a ton of things slated for the event; including past favorites such as live music, kid’s event area, rock crawling demos, vendors row, ATV costume contest, ATV Prize Raffle, Poker Run, guided ATV rides, and of course the Haunted ATV Trail with all new scenes(Saturday only). Plus, we will have new features such as the grand opening of lots of new wooded trails, mud drags, a ghost walking tour, and two world record attempts: Most ATVs in a Parade and Most UTVs in a Parade. To break these records we need all hands on deck. Invite your family, friends, and even that crazy uncle that you don’t like to be seen in public with. We want all clubs to band together to help break this record and we plan on honoring all clubs and all people who participate in helping us bring the records back to Kentucky and Appalachia. If we are successful in the record attempts, we will have a sign erected at the main trail head to commemorate every club and every individual who participated. Clubs who bring 5-9 people will have their logo near the bottom of the sign, clubs with 10-19 members who participate will get a medium size logo in the middle, and clubs who bring 20 or more get a large logo at the top of the sign. Underneath the logos we will have the names of every participant for both records. This is our way of saying that its not just about our club; this record is about all our friends in other clubs and saying thanks to them and to everyone who came and participated. Please come and wear your club shirts to the event. We plan on getting many aerial videos and photos that will be seen on the Outdoor Channel and in national publications. Coolest part: event is free of charge, as is riding on Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park. The only features of the event that cost are the concert, the Poker Run, and purchasing raffle tickets for the ATV prize raffle. More info at Events | Holler Crawlers ATV Club - Bell County, KY Hope to see everyone down here in Bell County, KY on Oct 19-21! Any questions, email us at [email protected] Thanks guys and gals. 3. Hey everyone! Wanted to give some brief updates on some different bits of news we have going on! First off, the Fishers ATV World episode that will feature last years Haunted Forest Ride at Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park will be on the Outdoor Channel on Monday, February 27th at 4:00 PM, 9:00 PM, and 12:30 AM. We are really looking forward to seeing how it turned out, so make sure to tune in! The show will re-air on May 21st at the same times. Make sure to check it out! If you were there, you may just see yourself on national television! Also, the Holler Crawlers have been conducting free guided rides all winter. We have had some great ones so far, and its been really warm on most of them. Jon, Larry, and Gary have all taken groups out so far and it looks like that will continue into the spring. We have another guided ride date set for Saturday, March 3. It will be an off park ride. More details are forthcoming. To stay up to date on our guided rides, you will need to check our forum out at www.hollercrawlers.com • Index page and register real quick if you haven’t already. Your registration will be approved within a day or two. But check under the Rides and Events forum for latest info. Or you can check out our facebook page at Holler Crawlers Off-Road Club of Bell County, KY | Facebook as well for latest guided ride info. More info on meeting time and place for this ride coming soon. Also, we have some news concerning the events for 2012. First, we have decided to do a spring event. It will be called the Ride For Cody and will take place on May 5th at the Hwy 119 Trailhead of Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park at 10 AM. This is a benefit ride for LCpl Cody Evans, a local Marine from Speedwell, TN who was severely injured in combat. We would appreciate anyone and everyone coming out and helping with whatever financial donations you can. There will be a bunch of guided rides that day, some leaving at 10 AM and some at 12 noon. We hope to have some music later on that evening for everyone to enjoy. This will be a great day on the trails enjoying the spring weather, but most importantly it will help raise money for a great young man who has given so much to this country and keeping our freedoms alive. Please join us at the event, and if you have facebook you can RSVP by searching "Ride For Cody" or go to Holler Crawlers Off-Road Club of Bell County, KY | Facebook and click on the EVENTS link on the left. If you are unable to come but would like to donate, donations can be sent to this address: Regina and/or Cody Evans c/o Tammy Greene PO Box 3475 Morristown, TN 37815 Also, the last bit of news we have is concerning the 2012 Haunted Forest Ride, which will take place the weekend of Oct 19, 20, and 21. If you came last year, you know we had a great turnout and everyone seemed to have a great time. This year, we promise to again take it up another notch! First off, we are going to attempt to break the world record for most ATVs in a parade! We will need EVERYONES help in this, so bring every fourwheeler you own and please encourage all your friends to do the same! Utah holds the current world record at 1,870 and we will need everyones help to bring this record back to Appalachia where it belongs!!! We need a huge turn out so please come and like I said, invite all your friends with ATVs as well!!! Also, we are very happy to announce that our buddy and worlds most famous Holler Crawler, Brian Fisher, will be back at this years Haunted Forest Ride! We are thrilled to have him back around a place where he has so many fans and we know he is really appreciative of the love he gets when he’s here. So come out and meet the world’s most down-to-earth ATV celebrity at this years Haunted Forest Ride, the weekend of October 20th! We plan on having this year as a weekend long event, with the Haunted Forest Ride being the main attraction that Saturday evening. There will be a TON of new suprises to get your blood rushing this year, so look out! And as always, it will be completely free of charge to enter the event, and there is no charge to ride Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park. Can’t beat that! You may see other Halloween related ATV events, but you can guarantee this is THE ONE you want to go to. If you have facebook, make sure to click here and go RSVP for the 4th Annual Holler Crawler Haunted Forest Ride by going to Holler Crawlers Off-Road Club of Bell County, KY | Facebook and clicking on the EVENTS link on the left. The game will last until approximately 1 PM or until the first person finds the prize! At 2 PM, the prize will be given away from event area stage. Entry fee is only $25 per vehicle, and all proceeds will go to help this great non-profit organization continue their mission of assisting the people of our region. All contestants will be provided maps and sent to 5 different spots on the park (they can go to each spot in any order they choose). Download a registration form at Bell-Whitley Community Action > Home or Holler Crawlers | ATV Club in Bell County Kentucky under the “events” link. Registration forms are also available in Bell County at Hart’s Cycle, in Brownies Creek at Creekside Market, in Colmar at Marty’s ATV Oasis, and in Tennessee at Bobby’s Cycle Works in Arthur and the Polaris shop just north of Tazewell. For more info call 606-337-3044. Prize Raffle – 5:30 PM Cost: $5 per ticket, or 5 tickets for $20 Prizes: 2 new winches, 2 hard-back seat/storage units for your ATV, 2 brand new sets of SS rims with Big Horn tires, a 2 night stay at Pine Mountain State Resort Park, event shirts, possibly a few more smaller prizes We know that $5 doesn’t get much nowadays, but what it can get you is chance to enter one of a lot of really cool prizes at this year’s Haunted Forest Ride! This year’s prizes include 2 new winches, 2 hard-back seat/storage units for your ATV, 2 brand new sets of SS rims with Big Horn tires, a 2 night stay at Pine Mountain State Resort Park, or an event shirt! Winners will be announced at 5:30 PM at event area stage. ATV Decorating Costume Contest – 6:00 PM Cost: FREE Prize: Brand new 2,000 lb winch Nothing gets folks in the mood of Halloween like dressing up. Costume contests are a popular activity at Halloween events, but since we’re an ATV club, we decided to put our own twist on it! Instead of judging folks on how they decorate themselves, we want folks to decorate their ATV, side x side, or dirt bike up in Halloween gear! We will have a panel of judges determine the winner, and the lucky person will get a brand new winch for their efforts! Entering the contest is free! Riders are encouraged to dress up as well, but that’s not mandatory. Haunted TrailCost: FREE Prize: SURVIVING!!! You have gotta love late October. It’s the perfect time of the year to enjoy the beautiful wonders of southeast Kentucky. The leaves are in peak color, the air is cool and crisp, and the woods are full of blood-thirsty monters and ghouls… …wait…WHAT?!!?! That’s right, the woods of Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park will morph into something terrifying on October 22nd, and the Haunted Trail will be sure to scare the pants off you, your friends, your granny, and anyone else who dares to enter! The trail is normally a medium level trail but we have got it fixed to where it is an easy level trail right now, so even beginning riders shouldn’t have any trouble. Some of the scenes will be somewhat gory so taking small children who scare easily isn’t recommended. We ask that folks going on the trail go slow in order to avoid rear ending other four-wheelers. Enjoy the ride and try your best to get out of the Haunted Trail with a clean pair of britches!!! Live Music featuring The Realbillies and Joe Coe – 7:00 PM Cost: FREE but donations to bands are encouraged For some added entertainment that evening, we have two bands scheduled to perform to rock the masses. Both play an exciting brand of southern rock mixed with country that’s sure to get your toes tapping! The band stage will be located near the rock garden, less than a ¼ mile south of the event area off the main trail near the camping and parking areas (its also located at the spot where you will come out at when you pass through the Haunted Trail…if you survive that is!!!). The Realbillies will take the stage at around 7 PM and rock the crowd until 8 or 8:30, after which Joe Coe will take the stage and rock the crowd even more into the night! Admission to see the bands is free, but we will have a donation bucket for them and ask people to please appreciate the fact they have come to play for free and throw a few bucks their way!
  5. Know its a ways off but itll be worth the drive. Plus were less than an hour away from a million other awesome places to ride... Hope some of you can make it!
  6. Howdy everyone. Wanted to swing by and invite ya’ll to the 3rd Annual Holler Crawler Haunted Forest Ride, which will take place on Saturday, October 22nd at the Hwy 119 Trailhead of Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park in Bell County, KY. The Haunted Forest Ride combines two of our favorite things…four-wheelers and Halloween…and forges them into one awesome event for the entire family!!! Last year we had around 1,500 people check out the event and got rave reviews, but this year we are aiming to blow last years event out of the water! This year, the event will be attended by ATV Celebrity Brian Fisher as part of the Keepin’ It Real 2011 Tour. Brian and crew will be on hand all day to check out the trails at Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park, hang out with the fans, and of course, try to survive the Haunted Trail! He will be filming for an upcoming episode of Fisher’s ATV World on the Outdoor Channel. The event this year will feature food vendors, a much improved kids event area with inflatables and more games, live music from Joe Coe and the Realbillies, rock crawling demos at the new rock garden, an ATV costume contest, a prize raffle, a poker run and scavenger hunt hosted by the Bell-Whitley Community Action Agency, and of course the Haunted ATV Trail which will feature all new scenes and decorations!!! Best of all? The event and riding area are totally FREE OF CHARGE! That’s right, there’s never any cost for any Holler Crawler events and there is no fee to ride the 9,000 acre Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park. This is the best time of the year to ride our area, and this is the one ATV event of the year that you do not want to miss! Hope to see ya’ll on October 22nd in Bell County. For more information, use the information below… Web: Holler Crawlers | ATV Club in Bell County Kentucky Facebook: Holler Crawlers Off-Road Club of Bell County, KY | Facebook Phone: 606-670-7902 Email: [email protected]
  7. We hope that you and yours can plan spending the Saturday before Halloween getting your pants scared off down here in Bell County, KY! The 2nd Annual Haunted Forest Ride will begin on the Bridge to Nowhere on Highway 119 just east of Pineville, KY on Saturday, October 23rd. We encourage people to get there around 5:00 PM for some free food and information. At 6:00 PM we will hold the ATV and prize raffle drawing. The Haunted Trail will open at sundown. There is a rain delay date of Saturday, Oct 30th in the case of severe and heavy storms (which is unlikely during this time of the year, but just in case!). This year we plan on doing the ride much bigger and better than last year. We got quite a few compliments on the ride last year, and this year we have a larger budget and hopefully many more volunteers. We will have t-shirts available with a logo similar to the one above. If you own a business and would like to become a sponsor of the ride and get your business name on the back of the shirt, contact us through our email at [email protected] If you would like to volunteer for this event, just drop an email ([email protected]) and let us know. If you'd like for you and your friends to set up a section of trail to decorate and have your own segment of the Haunted Trail, our event planning committee would be glad to hear your ideas and get you involved. Also we can always use people to help direct traffic, set up decorations, and make props for the trail as well. If you can help in these areas, it will help us accommodate everyone. Last year in our first annual ride we had over 300 riders check the Haunted Forest out and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. Well this year will be much bigger and better and we hope to draw double what we did last year. In order to do this we really need folks to chip in and help make this an event to remember and something that draws a lot of folks to our county. So again – your help is greatly appreciated. This year there will also be a few guided tours earlier in the day. Late October in Bell County is usually a great time for fall weather enthusiasts to get out and get some great pictures of the changing leaves, and riders will have some spectacular fall color views with the Cumberland Mountain right before them. The club will also have free maps to hand out earlier in the day to anyone who wants to ride some trails on their own before the Haunted Trail opens. We also plan on again having a bonfire and some food afterwards. We will probably roast and cook hot dogs and have marsh mellows and hot chocolate for everyone as well…it will be a great time for the whole family. The biggest news of the event will be that we will be drawing for an ATV and Prize Raffle during the ride! The Holler Crawlers are joining forces with the Pineville Rotary club to give away a new 2009 Honda 420 Rancher FI 4WD and a 6'16' dual axle trailer to go along with it! Second place will get a new 2009 70CC Honda dirt bike! Third place is a 3000 lb winch, and 4th place is a nice ATV hard storage box for your bike! Some pretty sweet prizes if I do say so myself. Tickets for the prize drawings are only $25. They are going really fast and are in limited supply, so get yours fast! There is no entry fee for the Haunted Forest Ride, just as all our other rides (minus benefit rides and even then there are no set amounts for donation), but to enter the prize giveaway, the tickets are $25. There is no entry fee to ride on the ATV Park either, so just look at this as spending a portion of what you'd normally pay to ride somewhere, but in this case you could walk away with a brand new ATV and 16' trailer or some other awesome prizes! For tickets and info on the raffle, call Curt at 606-499-5715 or Jon at 606-499-0567. You can also email us at [email protected] and visit Holler Crawlers | ATV Club in Bell County Kentucky for more information on the ride and raffle as well. Again, I want to stress to get your tickets soon because we are selling them pretty quickly and there is a limited supply. If you would like to see a video from last years ride, check out the link below! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doCiF1mb0-I]YouTube - Holler Crawler Haunted Forest Ride 2009[/ame] To be honest…this year will be much scarier. Might be a good idea to bring a change of britches to this one… Again for more info, check out Holler Crawlers | ATV Club in Bell County Kentucky or email us at [email protected] Hope to see everyone there! Jon
