I purchased a CDI box from Ebay that was listed as the one for a 200trx with round plug.....when I plugged it in the reverse light stays on.....what did I do wrong ? or is it just a bad CDI box?

Just had one given to me and it had a broken timing chain tensioner and a very dirty carb.....also I am curious if it is shifted like my Harley,but no clutch or is it placed in one gear and use that gear only ?
