I just got an old YFM200DX Moto 4 and upon checking the oil in the rear differential I took out I assume the fill plug and it fished out old nasty oil. I plan on flushing the oil and replacing but was wanting to make sure if you drain bottom plug and just fill up to the check plug. Only thing I can think of someone filled it up by the breather on top? Plan on unhooking the hose and blowing it out tomorrow. I also do not have a service manual yet. Also right now the diff vent hose just goes up under the tank to nothing. Does it plug into back hole in the air box? Thanks

That’s where my breather hoses go on my 2000 grizzly. Look for witness marks where it is now. If it passes under a little bar and the rubber is really kinked there like it’s been there for a while good chance that it is in its spot.

I have a 2002 vinsion 500 with problems I tore the carb apart and cleaned everything the problem is that when started it it ran but when driving it had no power and in the air cleaner box had a puddle of gas and oil in it so took carb back off and their was gas in the vacuum hose HELP

this sounds like the float is out of adjustment or the valve/needle that it pushes on is dirty and possibly jammed. That is for excess gas building up in the air box. If the  overflow line clogs it will fill your air box and possibly the crank case. As for the lack of power, once again I would tend to think your main jet is not picking up the gas as in dirty and or clogged.  I like to use a torch tip cleaner (welding acetlyne) to pass through all the little holes in all the jets. Also when cleaning the carb always try to get as much of it apart as you can and let the jets soak over night in a quality carb cleaner. also a new properly gapped plug never hurt any motor,
