  1. Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up loaning a fuel pressure test kit and I'm only getting around 20psi on prime and cranking. So I've got the fuel pump out and am going to look into a replacement. The pump does sound a little strange compared to our 3 2016 570's which all make the same pitched whine. This one just doesn't sound as healthy so I feel like there's more than enough symptoms to warrant a replacement. I'm working on this for someone so I'm not exactly sure how it was acting before it stopped running, but it's got 4300 miles and 380 hours.

Also, when I was first looking into the throttle cable I found part of a ziptie placed in between the two contacts inside of the throttle..The current owner did not put it there. Any insight on that?

Was you able to find the solution? I’m having a similar issue with my 2016 Polaris ranger 570. Starts and runs but runs rough until battery is dead then it will die and nothing until battery is recharged. I had the motor rebuilt 4 years ago and drove it just a few hours and thought that I had locked the motor up again so it has sat for the last four years until now

I had put a cheap battery tender connector on it that didn't even end up working with my trickle charger and I believe that was draining the battery while I was driving it so the voltage would get so low it couldn't stay running. After taking that tender wire off I didn't have any problems for a while. Now I just get occasional throttle issues if I'm running it hard and it will idle funny or cut out. probably has something to do with temp but it doesn't overheat.

So if you've got any accessories on it I would check the connections. I'm not sure how deep you had them go through the motor but maybe it needs a new stator or maybe something with charging system didn't get plugged back in. You could also check and test the voltage regulator, lots of people have problems with that. I don't know much but hopefully this helps.

  3. Sorry for a lack of updates. The plan is to bring the wheeler out this weekend to go riding and I can test on it to get a feel for exactly what's happening if it starts acting up. I'll have the tools this time to check everything if something does happen, which normally isn't the case due to a lack of preparation haha. Thank you all for your input, I will try to keep you updated as I learn more!

  4. After a full day of sitting, the battery has not drained. I just put on an off brand tender cable on this winter but just took it off when I charged the battery because it didn't work with the trickle charger for whatever reason. I've had issues before putting it on. I really just need to get it out to get a good feel for exactly what's happening and do some tests, but I haven't and won't be able to take it out for a few weeks.

  5. Thanks for the great responses! I'll have to look into them later today. To answer Dave, the battery is clean and when charged it sits around 12.5. The 2-3 times that this has happened I've let it sit for a bit, then limp it back to the trailer get it home for a charge and it's all good. That tps code lingers sometimes. I do get the Lo 10.6 display on the speedo when the battery gets below around 11.5. Previous owner rode it pretty hard, it has 2100 miles and almost 200 hours, was rode fast and hot. I think I might mess with the accessories and see if anything is the matter there. Just been hard to diagnose when nothing really happens when it's idling. It's like when I'm searching it knows and behaves itself haha

  6. Thing is, I never have any of them on. Previous owner put all the stuff on it. This has been happening with nothing on. Never use the lightbar, and only winch every once in a while for short periods of time. I've tested the voltage regulator and it seems to be okay, but Polaris doesn't make it easy, can't really completely test it. The battery is at 14.2-14.6 volts at 1700 rpm with nothing on. Thanks for your input! Has me baffled, don't know much about electric systems and whatnot.
