  1. Anybody know what Arctic Cat airbox components are compatible with Suzuki?
  2. I'm honestly wondering if I should just make my own solutions. I know it's an old quad and parts are likely to be extinct. I found the air filter trap on ebay, but they want $90 for it. It must be a rare part. Honestly, it doesn't look to hard to fabricate out of something. Hell, a clothes hanger basket might even do the trick if I make it right
  3. Yes, it's the Number 3 part. Thanks for the help. Mine is an '85, so that looks like all the right pieces I have. Thanks for responding with that, I noticed I'm also missing 13 and 14. Explains why it doesn't quite fit right.
  4. Good morning riders! Just a quick thought... I bought an old ATV from some kid that is missing plenty of parts and had alot of bandaids on it. It's a Suzuki quadsport lt230s. I really want to see this thing in it's former glory but some of the parts are really hard to find. One in particular that I'm having trouble finding is the trap inside the air box for the filter. Why is this part so hard to find? And why is it missing? Is there a replacement I can consider?
  5. I bought a Suzuki quadsport lt230s in rough shape. I've been slowly buying parts to restore it it's former glory. (Motor has good compression, so I took that as a green light.) My question: The tires don't keep air. Before I pull the trigger on new ones, I'm wondering how to get them off so I can attempt to reseal the beads. Any recommendations on how to get them off?
  6. So, I live in Arizona. It's known to get pretty hot here. Should I adjust the oil?
  7. I'm new to the mechanics of riding. I've ridden quads and love it, but I've never really owned one of my own. I bought this quad in pretty rough shape and have been slowly restoring it. I'm almost ready to kick it over, but I'm doing a little research before i add fluids. I'm wondering what kind of oil i should use. I know the specs call for 10w40, but with the age and brand of my quad I'm curious to hear an experienced opinion. And since I'm just getting started with this forum, I don't have access to the service manuals yet. Any and all advice is welcome and appreciated! Thanks and happy riding!
