Yes it is like a car. It is a QUADDY homologation for FRANCE.
Today the quad does not start. I turned the key, saw the neutral green light so I tried to start it. I heard a little "thump" and then nothing. Lights out, no more juice.
Fuses (2x30 amps) are OK, battery at 12.7 V.
I have no clue.

Hello,
I was able to repair most of the little problems on my 2006 BRUIN. I still have little things to do...
I changed the Hazard light Switch because it was not locking when pushed and now it is not working at all. When I connect it (not sure of the wiring -4 wires but a lot of connection possible on this HELLA 3916-01 switch-) the flashing lights button (on the handlebar) is acting like the Hazard light switch.

Hey,
I was able to remove the bolt !
I used metal levers on the cover and added inox wires around the tiny space between the bolt and the cover. It created enough space to use a little screwdriver as lever on the bolt and it finally came out.
I was even able to save the thread as it was possible to screw a bolt from the other side of the cover hole.
Thank you for your help,

Since it's the last bolt, try levering the cover out a little somewhere else further away from the bolt, then slip some thin metal plate in and slide it along as near as you can get to that bolt, then push the cover back in so as to lever the cover over the metal plate. That will try and pull the bolt out, then slowly turn and lever and the bolt might get a grip and come out, or, it will just grind it's way out. if it comes a bit put a thicker bit of metal in and do it again. Use a wide bit of metal, not a screwdriver, so it doesn't damage the cases.
Very good idea ! It gave me some leverage, the bolt was harder to turn but I was not able to get a grip and get it out. It is really annoying. I'll try again tomorrow, I hope it will work.
Thank you all for the ideas.

I tried but maybe not hard enough. It is rusty but the head of the bolt is ok. It is turning, I can feel it from the other side of the transmission cover.

Hey,
I have an old Bruin from 2006 and I am trying to revive it.
I am now trying to remove the last bolt on the ultramatic cover but it is turning infinitely. I don't want to force and risk breaking the cover.
Do you know what I could do ? Do you have any tips or even was in this situation once ?
Thanks,

It is the 2WD BRUIN, 2006 model so I guess it is a BAV.
I just cleaned the halogen.
I thought FAV was a generic term for BRUIN. Maybe not much change between 2004 an 2006. Any workshop manual would do, I guess.

If you tell us what year it is I might be able to find the main manual.
Did you read what the supplement is to ? It's possibly a supplement to cover some particular model, or some later year.
The bike's model will start off as YFM350 then there will be a suffix of two or three letters. If you have the suffix let us know that as well.
Thank you for the answer.
The model is YFM350FAS 2WD it is a 2006 BRUIN.

Welcome along, this is a good site. I'm sure you will find it helpful.
Something to be aware of is that it's primarily an American site, and the models vary from country to country, so you need to make sure you are looking at the exact right model when reading the service manuals or ordering parts. This is particularly so with the electrical systems, carbs and body parts. Most of the mechanical parts are pretty standard.
The site has a good selection of service manuals but if it doesn't seem to have your model let us know and we can try to find one for the collection.
Thank you for the warm welcome.
I found a "supplementary service manual" but not the "service manual". Do you think it is possible to find this pdf or maybe I have not looked at the right place.

Hey,
I am new to quads and I'd like to know more and be able to repair my BRUIN as much as I can.
I bought a cheap YAMAHA because I know there is parts on the market and they can be repaired.
I hope I will learn a lot of things in this journey.

Same day 2 hours later, the quad starts easily. I fear it will do this again, I could not find any faulty wire / fuse.
