Here is another reason this sport gets a bad rep. People die from it! I watch my best friend hit a tree doing about 45 and it killed him instantly. Because we were just cruising and dirt got in his eyes and bam! After all this has happened you wont ride the same ever again! Trust me from this, watching your best friend who you introduced into this sport get killed, makes you think twice about everything from there on!

Yup been there done that. I had a bad wreck about 5 years ago. I rolled into a 40 foot canyon. Hyperextended both of my knee's fractured my ankle, and had bruised ribs. I was making sure my 4 wheeler right after rebuilding it and making sure everything was good to go. I wasn't paying attention and rolled right into a canyon. It hurt a little bit(____) that much. LOL

Where do we need to post these threads at?

Yea I love my hot cam but doing that much motor work to mine is gonna cost a pretty pennie for just the parts. So I will just hold off on that for a bit. at least till I get college out of the way.
-
Damn, so it runs like a whole new machince I'm guessing.
-
Really? I want more of a lop in my cam really. If I put a Stage 2 Web Cam will it give it more of that?
-
I put in a stage 2 hot cam in. The guys at the local ATV shop said I wont need.
-
That's what I thought. I have a stage 2 in my 05 400, I knew there was 3 differant ones. If i went up to the craziest one I would have to do a bore on it. I really don't wanna do that to my motor.
-
JESUS CHRIST! Is a stage 5 Cam really that important?
-
Ok Pipe, Jetting, Stage 3 rev limiter, stage 2 cam, maxxis holeshot tires, nerf bars, foam air filter, and an extra oil cooler mod. This is all on my 05 400 and it's pretty awesome If you do bore ht e 400 you will have heating problems to wear you dwon't even wanna put your legs next to the bike. do an extra oil cooler mod if you do bore it. Helps it run cooler and helps keep your engine alive a lot longer.

My friend has one and he says it was just vibrating like crazy. Personally I don't know, but other then that I agree there pretty awesome right off the showroom floor.

Ok, here is what I suggest. Try Penn Foster. There an online school that sends you all the books and everything yo need to do it at your own pace. If you can take buisness in collage and get a degree so you know how to run a buisness. other then that. Try ITT tech and see if you can take online classes and try WTI tech. Other then that you really have slim pickens.

Fresh Gas, check the air filter. and make sure the carb is clean.

I am currently 18 years old. I started at 6 months old. My dad always had a passion for 4 wheelers and it slowly started there. I was 3 years old when I went to my first dune ride. I don't remember much but I have pictures from back when I did go. I really did not get into the scene hardcore untill was about 12 years old. I bought my first 4 wheeler. It was a 1997 Yamaha Warrior. A coupele years after that, I bought a 2001 Yamaha Blaster. I started to pick up a dirt wheeles every chance I got to kee[p myself up to date on all the new models and new shoot outs. After i turned 18 I went out and for christmas I bought my parents a 4 wheeler and bought 3 Honda 400ex's. For my senior trip I took my best friends to the local dunes (Little Sahara) in Oklahoma and had the greatest times. 2 weeks after graduation me and my best friend had some girls over and were showing the girls around the land around where we have rode the previous months. He went around a corner to quick and hit a tree dead on. I watched my best friend die in fromt on me. :'( It was so hard to watch my best friend passs away doing a sport that I introduced him into. It's been really hard to ride like I use to before this summer but I am trying to slowly get myself back together. It's truly a great sport and great community to get into but it is also dangrous as well. I live my life now one lap at a time. It's hard to get back on a 4 wheeler knowing it killed my best friend, but he was just as involved as I was. In his honnor we rebuilt the 4 wheeler in his honor. Just graduating high school and already loosing my best friend was hard enough, but I know he would be pissed off if I stopped. 4 wheelers are my life and I am still trying to recover from that horrific night. I just wanted to let you know where I started and everything that I have personaly been through. That's where I got started and i am not going to stop. keep it real, always wear a helmet and always love your friends and family. Life's short so enjoy it while it lasts.

Why quads get a bad rap

It sucks really bad and it's really hard to get back into my regular routine of riding. You just have to deal with the cards you are delt with. I learned from this experience, what I wanted to go to college for, becoming a better person, and over sharing my story with others hoping that it could save someones life one day.
