hey everyone,

i was just out at the quad and when i go to start it up, it just clicks, once. the battery isnt flat and im 99 per cent sure its coming from the solenoid. i was just wondering if this means the whole thing is bad or if its a dodgey connection.

p.s. i also push started the quad just to make sure it work and it does.

i took her for a spin today and there was no back fireing atall!!!! did it just fix itself??

right lads i will strip down the carb its just that its in an awkward spot and i just put on some gasket sealant.. oh ya will i need to remove the gasket sealant when re assembling it or will the dried stuff be ok?

my chinese quad back fires when deceleration and was wondering if it is a big issue because i have a feeling that its going to be a big job with the carb to get it running right

ya.. i dont have a pilot screw so should i adjust it with the washer on the needle?

i have no idea what brand it is unfortunately and i think it DID have a adjusting screw and was very very poorly done, when i was riding it fell out so there was a hole where it used to be and i had to fill it with gasket sealant... it fixed the problem. i cleaned the spark plug and ran it and it was black and it was still back firing when decelerating...

right well i better change it back the way it was and leave it at that. thanks for the help

well tis has a fully manual choke and doesnt stick at all

i was playin around with the carb adjusting that half washer on the needle changing the position of it and then checking the spark plug but every time the spark plug was black even on the leanest setting. on the middle notch it was ideling ok but now on the leanest notch she is dieing after ideling for a bit even tho the spark plug is turned black.

im confused!!!

hey guys any suggestions on how to proper cleaning an air filter cuz it is kind of dirty and i was kinda worried about bringing water near it because its a fairly thick air filter with a kinda metal mesh around it ill try to get a pic of it because of how long it would take to dry

hi everyone im new to the forum,

i got a chinese quad 4 months ago and before you start saying thats what you get for not getting a branded quad i got it for €100.

my quad occasionally back fires when i take off and if i leave it to idel it eventually sputters and dies..

any help is much appreciated.

p.s. i have the ability to work with it mechanically but i dont have any special tools
