I replaced my wheel cylinders and things were good for very little bit.i have a good hard lever so im assuming my adjusters are working.what else could it be

drum brakes are very lax ... they need to be adjusted very very close to the hub, but even then, they are no where near as tight as disc ... and if wet you have virtually nothing ... use the engine to brake, down shift and then use brakes ...

Hi, I am new to this forum I am currently working on my 1989 Yamaha front end.  The cv axles were bad so I changed them on both sides with all new wheel bearings. Now I'm looking at the front brakes and the 2 cylinders for the brake shoes on both sides do not work at all. I am also new at working on brakes so its a mystery to me what needs to be done to fix the cylinders.  Can somebody please help me with these brake issues? See the image below.
      Thank you,
      Olchap

My 2000 big bear 400 4x4 has 26x10x12 tires in front and 26x12x12 in the rears. Trying to find replacement tires those sizes are hard to find, or, when i do, they cost a lot more than i want to spend.
But, there's a lot of 25" tires out there the same size, just 25" and not 26". If i got the 25" it should not make a difference....right?

The choke lever doesn't stay in position on my 2001 Yamaha Kodiak.  The model is YFM 400.  I have to hold the lever to the choke position manually for some reason.  Any Ideas as to why?
