dead bayou

I have a bayou 220 that will not start. Here is so far. Timing is dead on according to marks, carb is getting gas, plug is firing good crisp blue spark, but it will not hit even squirting gas directly in cylinder. motor turns over fine, compression will blow finger off of spark plug hole. have not checked setting on valves yet, but verified they are working. was riding it and it ran great. parked it to eat dinner, went back out and it would crank but no start. getting fuel, and fire and air but wont even cough. any ideas?

A tight valve adjustment can cause hard starting.

I have seen vehicles parked and not start later. Usually, it has been happening for a while... hard to start in the morning, but once started, will start all day.

If you are squirting gas directly in the cylinder, through the spark plug hole, you might be flooding it.

Might want to try a new plug.

Odd that it has spark, compression (??), and fuel without starting.

Tried new plug, same thing. checked intake valve setting, it was a little tight, no movement of rocker at tdc. thought what the heck, checked timing again and altho the marks were dead on, it was apparently firing just after tdc on the down stroke. moved timing one tooth and it fired right up. been riding it and start and stop all day. so far so good! thank you for your input tho, I appreciate it. I did find that the tensioner was stuck and not coming all the way out. guess that is what let it jump time a little

Hello, im looking for some input on this situation i have. My 94 Mojave has no spark, and i have no idea what it is. Ive replaced/tested the magneto, the pickup coil, cdi, the ignition coil. Even the key and Killswitch. I haven't tested the harness its self, but i have tried another harness and still nothing. The only thing i can think of is the fly wheel itself. I have found a lot of metal shavings in the fly wheel and have cleaned it the best I could. But nothing happened afterwards. I am truly stumped here and hoping some of yous could shed some knowledge/ideas that could help get this thing to fire.

I see quite a few ads for that  Tribotex additive. It's kind of expensive, has anyone used it it their ATV or any other vehicle?

Wiring shows White and Brown to solenoid blades. Then a black wire from starter circuit relay to solenoid. I am confused,  where is that black wire supposed to connect?
      Thanks for any help
