YZF450 wont start

Hello, New to site. Working on a YZF450. refuses to start. Customer states motor was built with big bore kit, ported head, hotcams. Has hour meter showing 5 hours. Atv has many high end chassis parts and does look well built. Managed to start when first brought in but couldn't idle.  Had stripped threads in exhaust cam holder. Made repairs now wont fire at all Occasional pop. Checked cam timing , Good leak down, new plug, carb clean but haven't verified tune. Acts like no compression. Decompressor seems to work correctly Will not fire even by spraying starting fluid in carb. Have noted while cranking starter seems to slip. Don't know how fast it must spin to overcome decompressor? Contacted Hot Cams to get info but no response at all. Been working on bikes 30+ years but am stumped don't want to just throw parts at it.

Any ideas

      Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

      Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

      Oxidized or faded plastic body parts

      I recently read an article about restoring or at least improving the looks of faded and discolored plastic body parts. In the article it suggested using a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. You mix it up and apply it with a brush or rag to rub it in and remove the oxidation. I curious to find out if anyone has had experience with doing this and what was their short/long term results of doing so. I would hate to try it and find out that a few weeks/months down the road my plastic body parts self destruct.

      Heavy Duty ATV Cover

      Does anyone have a recommendation of a really Heavy Duty ATV cover. I have bought several and they do keep the water off somewhat, but they are very thin and do not contour with the shape very well and water pools up in the rack louvers. I think i may be looking for a heavy canvas one, if anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.
