Hi, I'm new here. I own a '98 Kawasaki Bayou 300 4X4, purchased new back when. I went through the Kawasaki safety course provided for free, and have used the ATV around the property hauling a polar trailer full of bucked up wood for the outside boiler. That's about it. The unit's never been off the property other than trailered into the service shop while still under warranty for standard checkup. I'm assuming I'm in the right forum for this intro...

I picked up a 2000 Big Bear 400 4X4 that was sitting around that I know nothing about. It will not start. I do have a red light when in reverse. When I take it out of reverse, I do not get a green neutral light, and when I push the start button the red oil light comes on but there are no noises, nothing else happens. How do I test the neutral switch and/or bypass it to see if I can get it to at least crank? And does anyone have other suggestions for me to try?

      Hello Folks
Have a Kawasaki Bayou 220, called the KLF 220 in my neck of the woods. I have had some fun getting to run nicely and eventually found a chap who sorted it all out for me. Something about 80-year-old bike specialists that make all the difference.
Anyrate now that she is running, I want to clean up or replace the spring suspension. so to my questions -
[1] has anyone changed/upgraded the spring suspension? if yes to what?
[2] The thought crossed my mind to split the spring system and change the actual springs for something firmer and give them some love while at it.. Has anyone split apart the springs, if so how does one go about separating the springs from the shafts?
      Comments appreciated.
