Since the very first ride after I bought my boy his DS 70 (2018) I have had an issue with it cutting off after splashing through water and not wanting to start for a minute or 2 waiting for wherever it is to dry off that is causing it. I went through and put dialectic grease on all the connections and it continued to do it. Not nearly as bad as before but still. Today before we went riding I put a good bit in the spark plug boot but toward the end of the day it started doing it again. Do y’all have any ideas on what might be causing this and a solution? Also I buy and sell wheelers a lot and it seems like every little one I get when I break them down to clean the carbs all the dry box and boots and what not seem to be siliconed. Is this standard practice on these small ones or just coincidental that I keep getting them that way?

Drying out that quick makes me think it's getting wet on the spark-plug or coil, and the engine heat is drying it out.

Water getting into the connector down by the engine is also a cause, but then it normally takes a half hour or more to dry.

I'd use the garden hose to wet one part at a time till it conks..

Hi guys, I have a 2004 big bear 400. Last winter while plowing the driveway, I heard a loud pop from the left side of the engine. It continued to run as I looked for leaky fluid, but then died shortly after backing it up and won’t start now. The oil light comes on when I try to start it, no noise or anything else.
No blown fuses that I can find.

Hi all. I have a timberwolf 250 2nd that will not start.. I thought it was out of time bc the guy I got it from said it just quit on him. The tensioner had a nut welded to it and it was like2 teeth off. I installed new tensioner and chain and it still will not start. It has fire and it will not hit off brake cleaner. It has compression. Haven't put a gauge but I'm sure it will crank and run with what it has. I double checked my work and it's still in time. Spot on. Both valves move. I'm about to put a feeler gauge on them and I'll cone back but other than that any ideas?
