  1. Dont Pass them up.....The Z is Highly UNDER RATED!!!! You can still go down to your local Yamaha Shop and Buy parts over the counter,,,,Lots of Quad Parts, Dirt Bike Parts Work on them if you know what to look for

I checked with my dealer about six months ago when I was thinking of getting the last one that I came across and he told me that he couldn't get Genuine Yamaha parts for em anymore so are we talking about aftermarket parts?

As far as me being Man enough to ride anything with less than four wheels.....I have two dirtbikes so does that count?

  2. Well some of us grew out of trikes once we got old enough to quit peddling our toys  Seriously though I would love to have a Tri-Z and have come across a few decent kept up ones that were reasonable for what they were wanting but its just hard to get parts for em around here anymore

  3. wow, now that sucks.......i hope you have a super alarm system on the garage you keep the wheelers in :) too many get stolen these days.

We have a storage container that they stay locked up in and have two Rotties that guard it pretty good

And no we haven't checked with any other insurance companies.....State Farm has always treated us right with our house and vehicles....maybe when the kids are out of the house I will be able to afford another $1500 a year on em

  4. Don't have any insurance on our toys.....We use State Farm on our house, camper and three vechicles.....know of several folks that have insurance on their quads with State Farm in different parts of the country and only pay around $130.00 a year.....well we have so many quad thefts in this part of the country that ours would run just over $300.00 a year for each of our quads.....you would think that we would get some kind of a discount with everything else insured but not living here

  5. We have one place that we ride at where all of the trails start off of a creekbed.....I always plan a weekend trip there whenever I get a new pair of boots...the first day I will stay back at the camp walking up and down the creekbed while the family is riding and they will be good to go for the next day. I know of a few folks that will wear a new pair of boots in the shower a few times before they ride with em on.

  6. So i rode for the first time with my thor quadrants the other night and i gotta say they are gonna take some getting used to. I was ridin my mans quad and i just couldnt get my foot under the shifter. When we put my quad back together i think im definantly gonna have to move the shifter up some.

If you wet them down and walk around in em some before you ride with em it will help in the break in.....once you break em in and get used to them I bet you will be able to leave the shifter in the normal position.

  7. So there is a big difference between the 660 and 700? I was hoping sometime to find a 660 kinda cheap but if the 700 is a lot better. I may just hold on to my pennies. :coolgleamAc:

Hold on to all of your pennies and get the 700 if you can.....the 660 is a nice quad but the 700 is worth the extra money if you are going to get a Raptor.

  8. I own a 05 Grizzly 660....awesome utility quad that has never let me down on the trails or in the mud. The main reason that I got it is for the rest of the family members to ride on and not have to think about working the clutch.....just hop on and go. Seems that every time we have taken it camping it has come in handy pulling someone back to the trailhead....we have just been very lucky that we haven't had to pull our own toys back with it

  9. I own a 04 YFZ450 and its the first quad that I had ever been on.....had never even sat on a trike before I got this quad. I had owned several street bikes in my earlier years and finally decided that I wanted a quad and when this was coming out all I read about was how bad it was going to be. I have gotten other quads since this one but this is still my favorite to ride on

  10. Well you can all play with your potato guns while I sit back play some strip poker with the lady's:drool5c: and have that blender working in overtime making frozen drinks:partyc:

love camping, boating on the hudson, frosen drinks on the docks in the summer and photography

and of course quading and exploring:sifonec:

    Chris

    Where is the pics?

  11. Here is a pic of my boots.....the Thor T30 (no longer make em) is on the left with the ATV sole.....the middle and the one on the right are the Thor Quadrant MX boots. I love my Quadrant boots and almost refuse to wear the old T30.....don't know if it is the ATV sole or just the way the T30 is made but the sole doesn't give hardly at all.

  12. The first pair of boots that I bought was the Thor T30 ATV boots.....the soles work great when walking as far as traction goes in mud but the sole on that boot doesn't give any at all and feels like they have concrete blocks strapped to em. I have bought several pair of Thor Quadrant boots without the ATV soles since then and love em.

  13. Here is the governments link that is basicly the same but worded a little different. The link posted earlier was a trial lawyers web site looking for anyone that has had a wreck. So far there hasn't been any accidents much less a death.

Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A. Recall of ATVs

Now here is a government link to all of the atv recalls......Yamaha has only had 4 total....thats a lot better than Honda, Kawasaki, Suziki, Polaris etc. No wonder I have three Yamaha's
