    Okay, so I have been trying to replace the starter on my quad. I have all the screws off the left side panel except the gear chain bolt that allows me to take the side off and get access to the sprocket to line up the new starter. The bolt is 14mm but is rounded off and I cannot for the life of me get the new starter to line up since that sprocket falls a half inch when you take the old one off. Is there anything I can do to get the new starter in without removing that bolt? Can I use a magnet from the outside to life the sprocket so that I can line up the starter and the sprocket? Anyone have any other tips??

    Hey all, I have been losing a lot of oil in my bayou, (new to me) and today I checked the spark plug and there was oil all over it, is this where my oil could be going? What is causing this? Thanks!

    What do I need to do to make removing and replacing the starter as easy as possible? Do I not just unbolt it and bolt it back on?

    Has anyone on this forum ever done a starter rebuild instead of buying a new one? I have a 2000 KLF300c that I have changed the solenoid on and am getting power to the starter but no electric start. I was looking at options online and I can get a replacement for $45 but see that rebuild kits are only around $15, anyone have any luck with these?

    Could it be the stator? I've read that those dont fail often but when they do they give no warning. Also, it is unable to start at all, not even pull start, is that normal?

    Hey all, new to the forum here and ATV's in general and looking for some help. Was doing some riding today, nothing major, just around the farm, when all of a sudden my electric start stopped working on me. Thought that was really weird but I pull started it and kept going. Then all of a sudden about 25 min later I lost all electrical power all together and was stranded. Could this be just the battery??? I am thankful for whatever info you can throw my way.
