well she survived the weekend, took it easy on her at first but by the end of the weekend she got her normal wear and beating, performed like a champ just like it always has. only complaint is that the front end is pulling slightly to the left but cant expect perfection until i get the frame taken care of. so now i have to get the rim repaired permanently instead of just the tube i threw in it for the weekend, and have to figure out a plan of attack for this frame

the gap between the wheel well and tire is 2 inches on the damage side, 4 inches on the other

and the yellow arrow is the direction i want to push it back out to bring that lower arm mount out and bringing the tire up

tie rod was bent into a u shape but that was replaced already also, the point of impact was the right tire the one thats pushed down it looks like the lower a arm mount in the pic is pushed in and the top is pushed out, the handlebars are just a lil off when im driving straight they are pointing to the left about an inch its pretty well jacked up and my brother is beginning to be a jerk about it when i told him the frame is $900 not including the week i would have to put into crossing parts over

im thinking cut on the red push the yellow out a couple inches and weld the red back together probably take some heavy sheet metal wrap around both braces for extra hold power what do you guys think? any better ideas?

i already replaced the a arms i though thats where they were damaged cause the paint was freshly chipped off a few welds on the arms, those are the new arms in the picture. for now im going to ride it as is until i can get my hands on a friends welder and see what kind of magic we can work, im thinking about cutting out the one cross support or both, hammering it back out and welding the crosses back in. we shall see. def sucks its an 07 but i bought it brand new off the dealer floor end of 09 only has like 300 miles on it

frame is def bent a lil bit. its rideable the way it is tried attaching tow strap to control arm and other side to tree and backing quickly, did a bunch of nothing. lesson learned dont let anybody touch your atv but you.

My brother wrecked my 07 vinson 500 yesterday tore up the front suspension pretty good, rim cracked tire slashed, tie rod bent into a u shape, and the front suspension pushed back about 2-3 inches towards the back of the atv. Im trying to find parts cheap as possible does anybody know if parts off a 02 vinson 500 will fit my 07? its the front right that has the damage, i found on ebay the front upper and lower arms with bearing for $60 if they will fit mine it would be great... also does anybody know where i can find a possible used rim and tire and tie rod, everything i find is super expensive, i searched ebay they only have like racing tie rods

My 07 was doing the exact same thing but if u pulled the battery off you would have noticed the problem i had. Mine was doing that exact same thing but what mine was because crud plugged up the drain hole in the battery/electrical box so the elec/ fuses were full of water, once it drained out and dried up all runs good. so u may wanna check the fuse panel area make sure everything is dry and not corroded.

ide see if you can return that ecu sure that thing was not cheap at alllllll

ide go with with ajm said check all the wires sounds like you have a short someplace thats not letting the power get from the stator to the battery. If you have a service manual or someone here may know find out what color the wire is from the stator to the battery and follow that check for cuts or broken wires or crappy connectors.

well i feel like a dummy know. decided to clean it up today befor taking it to the dealer. decided to pop the seat off and check out under there... well dumb a$$ me should have checked here in the first place. The spot where the fuses and starter relay are under the seat were completely submerged in water the drain plug was pluged up cause somehow a ton of woodchips and crap got under there and blocked the drain. let the water all drain out and let it dry... SURPRISE it all works again including the elec start. also the negative battery terminal had a lil bit of crud on it again im going to have to put terminal protector on them.... oh well

no i have to take it to the dealer problem im having is i work until 5 every night by time i go home load up and get out to dealer they're closed. ill get it out there eventually. hope its something stupid cause the atv runs like a champ besides the elec problems. Tried starting again lastnight and it wouldnt elec start so we'll see

if you read my old post you will see i already had one crappy run in with the service center there so im dreading taking this thing back there cause its a 40 min drive from my house and have a feeling theyre gonna try to get out of it.

2007 Suzuki Vinson 500 4x4 semi auto day i bought it so shes still clean.

now that its dried out for a day it acts like nothing happened making me think its a wire short some place all gauges work starts fine works great... even before the trip i noticed after i let the atv sit for a week or so it wouldn't elec start it would just make the relay hum like the battery was almost dead. Thought nothing of it till this weekend when it wouldnt stop doing that. Guess ill get it wet and take it back to dealer even tho the dealer i got it from was a bunch of idiots in the first place. guy didnt even know to check the coolant level before they send out a brand new machine...

ok so i bought a 07 suzuki vinson brand new from the dealer. i currently have 120 miles on it thats all. Took my atv out so Tionesta, PA this weekend about a 2 1/2 hour trip. It rained on sat for about an hour, mean time my atv sat under a tree wating for the cold rain to go away. So rain stops wipe the very little amount of water off the atv. go to fire it up gauges come on push start button. Hear the starter relay hum and no start... ok maybe just battery low. pull start and go on my way. get 2 seconds down the trail. Hit my brakes and my gauge cluster shuts off and flickers and goes crazy. let off the brakes it comes back on... continues doing this for about 8 hours. night time rolls around go for a night ride. same ordeal no elec start and gauges not working but now my headlights are barely on and flickering... i thought atvs were suppose to take a beating and keep on rolling. this gets a lil rain on it and goes haywire. Isnt the cluster suppose to be waterproof or at least water resistant? any suggestions what to do with this thing? im very unhappy with it right now. Should i just take back to dealer and shove it down his throat for selling me this or what? i have what the dealer called a 6 month bumper to bumper warranty? any suggestions would be great. Thanks for any help

ive read the owners manual and it doesn't mention any where a fuel shut off for transportation or storage. on the carb the fuel settings mine has is "on", "prime" and "reserve" but no "off" is it suppose to be this way? what should i set this to when im transporting or storing my atv?

Well today is oil change day one so ill check those rear brakes while i got it in garage. Thanks for the help.

Question #1.

Just purchased this atv brand new from dealership, have about 9 hours on the thing in less than a week. parked atv yesterday just to double check all the fluid levels and everything was still attached and good to go. Looked in bottom of air box and there was oil in bottom of it im talking like 1/4 of an once of oil. Not much but just curious if i should be taking this thing back to dealer, the oil seemed to be coming from the engine side. where the filter is attached to the motor their was a ring of oil, i dont know if its just extra filter oil that just dripped out, or if i went up too steep of a hill and it had too much oil. just concerned bought brand new and have oil in strange place already.

Anybody know where i can find a free service manual for the atv? No problems yet but still want a manual around just in case.

Question #3

Have about 38 miles and 9 hours of riding on the atv, i have trails all behind my house so i ride it daily. Problem just started friday while riding something started making a random metal on metal squeaking noise dont know if its from the brakes or the rear drive shaft, only does is after riding for about 10 minutes, and squeaks like 3 times and wont do it again for like 20 min, its coming from the back end but i cant find where from only does it while coasting and not on brakes, once u hit brakes it never does it making me think its maybe just cheap pads the factory put on? any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks
