  1. I was trying to decide between the .070 or the .047 I finally went with the .047 As long as they will work and not brake I'll be satisfied. ๐Ÿ‘ Also had .090
  2. This is it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/134426274514 thousandths I think!
  3. I think I'll get on for when I change sprockets and chain. I ordered snap ring pliers for the snap ring on the front sprocket. The ones I ordered have .470" pins I hope. I hope the pins will fit the holes and not be too big or too small. ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. Yeah I mounted it on the back sprocket. I think the open end of the clip is all the way on. I'm going to replace the chain and sprockets soon so I may get that press so I I'll have it for that job. Thanks! ๐Ÿ‘
  5. Hello, would this be a good Master Link tool for pressing master link plate back on? I've seen others made of aluminum but thought this one might hold up better. Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚ https://www.amazon.com/BARTOO-Motorcycle-Convenient-pressing-Alignment/dp/B0C4FB1V7D/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1KRW04WLD82EI&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.4Y2_vOEctIVv0vgmajSYXL844RphCjGBrMsiewv7Z1sVIMYMM5OQNBL0cXeHLmUDsnKMO5JffQPEP8vl4xuxCUczEfKGgw4r-MYmLgCzydGm9sHnK8hX7o1AqXunVpgpR8RrfQ8noUmfLyoxTqUcrl9tj82jDWeB5CL1rifd--ufsiyaWkBl4omd_1qyx7a97BvOTogpK40NTm9BfKjSt2H5mXrjEnhEOcxSYxUHiRx61KbfDBaA8B9CvwQjM3qGIf4Ay1zWxxPURTnX5qjhddcAADez5JNCFVrUYeLE-7M.sFaeyu09Q7O8v9B0NPjaDYDuHqVqE4uyxspDEpxBs6U&dib_tag=se&keywords=chain+press+tool+for+polaris+500+scrambler&qid=1709916341&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&sprefix=chain+press+tool+for+polaris+500+scrambler%2Caps%2C198&sr=8-3
  6. Well, it's all back together. My only concern is, I hope I got the clip on the chain link fully. With my failing eyesight I don't have a lot of faith in things such as that. I test drove it and everything seemed fine I just hope the chain stays together. I want to thank everyone for their experienced support through this job! ๐Ÿ‘
  7. Ok thanks Mech, I'll see if I can get them in there! ๐Ÿ‘
  8. Hello, what is the best method for installing bearings into their race? I've set one in place and tapped it down until it was metal on metal. Is that sufficient? Surely it's not supposed to go into the race until flush? Also. does the coil spring on the seal go into carrier bearing housing not facing out? Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚ Seal goes in until flush correct?
  9. I'm assuming, it's alright to test the engine after adjusting valves without the rear axle installed? Can someone please verify this? I'm waiting on axle parts and wanting to get that done while waiting. Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚
  10. Good deal, now I can go ahead and remove the races and have that much done. I didn't want to knock them out without having new ones to put back in. The kit is suppose to be here Tuesday. I think the sprocket hub is suppose to be here around the middle of the week also. Thanks for the confirmation! ๐Ÿ‘
  11. Wow! I think I should have bought my bearing kit on ebay. the photo shows the bearing races and also I guess that's a tube of bearing grease. https://www.ebay.com/itm/142954344378
  12. I've got a lot of 1 use tools. My wife reminds me about that every time I want to buy another.๐Ÿคฃ I started to try piling some of my 45 pound weight plates on the axle to hold it still. That's from my younger weight lifting days.
  13. Thanks for the good tips fellas. The main photo just shows the bearings and seals. The small photos to the left shows the races so I'm assuming, I will get those too. I got the sprocket off had to wire axle and sprocket to a post to hold it still. I got lucky and had a couple metal blades for my Super Sawzall. I didn't think that thing would cut that good on bolts like that. Parts won't be here until next week. I guess I might as well put the Stator housing on and adjust the valves. I'll put the new spark plug in after that.
  14. If I don't have the right size seal driver or it doesn't work good I'll see what kind of metal I can find. I need to get some more grease too. Thanks for the tips I need all I can get lol! ๐Ÿ™‚
