  1. I think I'll get on for when I change sprockets and chain. I ordered snap ring pliers for the snap ring on the front sprocket. The ones I ordered have .470" pins I hope. I hope the pins will fit the holes and not be too big or too small. 🙂

  2. Hello, what is the best method for installing bearings into their race? I've set one in place and tapped it down until it was metal on metal. Is that sufficient? Surely it's not supposed to go into the race until flush? Also. does the coil spring on the seal go into carrier bearing housing not facing out? Thanks! 🙂 Seal goes in until flush correct?

  3. Good deal, now I can go ahead and remove the races and have that much done.  I didn't want to knock them out without having new ones to put back in. The kit is suppose to be here Tuesday. I think the sprocket hub is suppose to be here around the middle of the week also. Thanks for the confirmation! 👍

  4. Thanks for the good tips fellas. The main photo just shows the bearings and seals. The small photos to the left shows the races so I'm assuming, I will get those too. I got the sprocket off had to wire axle and sprocket to a post to hold it still. I got lucky and had a couple metal blades for my Super Sawzall. I didn't think that thing would cut that good on bolts like that. Parts won't be here until next week. I guess I might as well put the Stator housing on and adjust the valves. I'll put the new spark plug in after that.

  5. I've got a Tekton brand punch set that I use working on firearms if one of those would work. I have a set of flat and a set of roll pin. I guess it would be one of the flat ones. I found my seal and cup driving kit also. What do you do with the punch tap the bearing in?

  6. I wanted to make sure I got a kit with o rings. I've got a seal driving kit it I can find it again lol! Only used it once for a front hub seal on the Scrambler. I started out to adjust valves and put a new pull rope/ housing on so I could adjust the valves. I guess it's a good thing I tried to tighten the chain and found the wobbly sprocket lol!

  7. Pretty nifty looking. I've never seen one of those before. I've been looking and all the carrier bearing housings I found were for 2004 or older. So I guess I'll have to install the bearings in the one I've got. I found these.

  8. Am I going to need special tools to drive new bearing seals into the bearing carrier housing? I sure don't want to mess the seals up because there won't be any spares. I can also order a carrier housing with bearings and seals already in it for 50-$70.00 if that would be a better option. Thanks! 🙂

  9. The photo is the right side without the nut I laid it down wrong sorry lol! The hub spleens are already biting the shaft and leaving marks. And it looks like the taper is getting bigger to the right of the hub. I might try taking some measurements with my calipers.
