Has anyone removed the muffler and just gone straight pipe with it? Do you need to tune it after?

I would like to upgrade to better clutch springs but I don’t know what the best combination is. My daughters boyfriend has a can am and he did his. I though it was a good idea so I want to do mine lol There are so many colours I was hoping someone would be able to steer me in the right direction of which springs to use. So I’m the long run I’m looking for better belt grab then what the factory springs are doing
