  1. I have had a Honda trx250 for many years and use it alot. I got a project Yamaha kodiak 4x4 from the son-in-law that he was too busy for. It has some missing parts that I am gathering. It does run with good compression. This site has been great for the manual and encouragement.  Welcome aboard,  stay safe,  have fun.

  2. Well, so much for a quick look! I am wrong, it is air cooled with a oil cooler and a fan. It looked like a radiator and fan. This quad is covered in mud. It really needs a serious clean up.  I have not found the model decal yet. It also is a five speed with high, low, and reverse. Sorry about that.

  3. Hi Rob,  welcome to the site. I am also a newbie that recently acquired a 1994 Kodiak 400. Together we will learn about these machines. The Kodiak has quite a following from what I understand. Good luck on your project.

  4. Hi guys, newbie from Ohio. I have a 1987 Honda trx250 that I have had for a long time.  It is fun and handy around the farm and in the woods. Just recently bought a used and abused 1994 Yamaha Kodiak 400 from my sil that gave up on it. Always wanted a 4x4, just could not come up to the cost. I hope to get it working with your help. It does run and move, but needs parts. Thanks in advance,  Robert
