New member here and looking for help.

At 200 hours the check belt light came on. Removed the converter cover checked the belt and followed instructions for the reset. Now I have a miss that starts at 35 mph and it won't go past 50. It acts like you are turning the key off and back on. Pretty well ruled out carburation and fuel flow.

When I had the cover off I started the machine and noticed later a warning not to do that.

Just an update. Talked to the Kawasaki dealer, they suggested I try another ignitor. At $460 I hate to buy one just to try. They also said it could be the crank sensor or coils. I put a timing light on it and when it surges the spark goes out, does the same on both cylinders. Probably try the crank sensor first since it's less expensive.

Also talked to them about any possible problems caused by starting with the converter cover off. Dealer said it won't cause a problem electrically, the warning not to start is a safety concern.

Another update. Replaced the crank sensor, checked all the switches and sensors that feed into the igniter and the problems still there. Had the coils tested and they were okay. Ordered a used igniter from Powersports Nation for $80 bucks. Said they'd accept returns which I found very unusual considering it's an electrical part.

The igniter arrived yesterday, put it in and test rode. Really no difference. The surging wasn't as noticeable but still there and it only runs about 53mph.

Just some friendly advice on new tires. Check with your ATV dealer.
There are so many aftermarket sites, Revco, Royal Distributing, Partzilla, and on and on. Even with their “ big sales”, my local Canam dealer’s REGULAR price beat the tire prices of the 3rd party sellers! People often assume the Dealership will cost them more, but I found this not to be true!

Greetings to all.  New to the forum, but not to ATVing.  I started when they only had 3 wheels!  Getting back into riding.  Polaris 850.  Too many bells and whistles, but what do you do.  Scouting out places to ride legally now.

      Background,
This winter (Dec.) I was plowing and everything just died, just quit.  No lights, no pull start, No nothing.  I've had this problem before and I changed the voltage reg and it ran fine for over a year. Then this.  So I changed it again, thinking this was the same problem.  Tried to start it and a small pin hole in the CDI appeared with electrical smoke.
Months go by and I finally decide to just replace parts (I'm Horrible at electrical issues).  I changed the stator, new CDI, new Voltage reg, new starter solenoid, tested the starter (prefect), charged the battery.
Went to start it and the solenoid rapidly clicked.  All the dash lights on, headlights work.  Pull stared it and it fired right up no issues.  Looked into the rapidly clicking starter solenoid and it was not enough juice in the battery.  Took the battery completely out and hooked up a jump box to it turned the key, light on, everything looks good.  Pushed the starter button and it fired right up ran great.  Turned it off to test it again, Turned the key and nothing.  No dash lights nothing.  Took the jump box off and pulled started it.  Started it right up.  Re-hooked the jump box, still nothing.
      Any Ideas?
