New here and I need some help, please.  I have a small shop and I usually don't work on ATVs but a customer wanted me to look at his.  He had a main fuse blown for his starting for the ign switch.  He was using a screw driver and jumping across the sol.  I replaced the fuse and that fixed the tarting problem.  Started and ran from key and starting switch just fine.  He then wanted me to add a manual switch to his cooling fan.  Should have said no, but, thought I would shoot my self in the foot and help.  I was trying to see it the fan would run by sending 12 volts to the hot wire.  I THOUGHT I had found a connection from the motor to the sensor.  Unplugged the red wire at the connector ( in attached picture) and jumped 12 volts to it.  When I touched the wire to the pos. battery terminal, it arched like a short (NEVER GOOD)!  Hooked the wire back to the terminal and tried to start the machine.  Now, it will spins over as it should but there is no spark.  I have to assume that I blew a module or controller.  Question is -- What did I blow and where the heck is it?

Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated! 59441b3007a06_Grizzlycomponent.thumb.jpg.5b69b0c0453d9ec0246cb9573726f9cf.jpg

Hi all. I have a timberwolf 250 2nd that will not start.. I thought it was out of time bc the guy I got it from said it just quit on him. The tensioner had a nut welded to it and it was like2 teeth off. I installed new tensioner and chain and it still will not start. It has fire and it will not hit off brake cleaner. It has compression. Haven't put a gauge but I'm sure it will crank and run with what it has. I double checked my work and it's still in time. Spot on. Both valves move. I'm about to put a feeler gauge on them and I'll cone back but other than that any ideas?

Just some friendly advice on new tires. Check with your ATV dealer.
There are so many aftermarket sites, Revco, Royal Distributing, Partzilla, and on and on. Even with their “ big sales”, my local Canam dealer’s REGULAR price beat the tire prices of the 3rd party sellers! People often assume the Dealership will cost them more, but I found this not to be true!

Greetings to all.  New to the forum, but not to ATVing.  I started when they only had 3 wheels!  Getting back into riding.  Polaris 850.  Too many bells and whistles, but what do you do.  Scouting out places to ride legally now.
