Hey,

I purchased a 1994 Kawasaki Bayou 400 4x4 which was running fine when I had all of the plastics off and now that I have put all the plastics back on the machine I am getting some strange symptoms. With the ignition on (neutral light on) and  having the kill switch in the RUN position now have no crank, no spark. But when I put the kill switch in the STOP (or off) position the electric motor crank, but still I am getting no spark. Is it normal for the ATV electric motor to work in the off position and not in the RUN position? It wasn't doing this before. I have replaced the spark plug and the ignition coil so far.  I am wondering if something is getting shorted after I put the plastics back on? Any ideas? If it is a short any ideas how can I track it down?

Thanks!

Is it possible for someone to post a screenshot of the electrical diagram for the 1994 Kawasaki Bayou 400 4x4  (North America version) or message me. I only have 1 post so I do not have access to the archive of manuals and I don't want to spam posts to get to 10 post which is needed to access the manuals.

Just getting into this issue really. Been replacing solenoids but now I'd like to track down the problem. This time I'm not getting neutral/reverse lights or start button. Was on a creek ride when it started doing this recently. It cranks by arcing the solenoid and gives me no light or start button but if I crank with the pull cord....the neutral light and the button work. Turn it off and try to crank with the key and nothing. I'm looking into the safety switch issue tomorrow and re charging the battery. Just figured this was odd enough of a problem that you guys might be familiar. Thanks

I have (2) sets of brand new plastics available for Honda Rancher 420 2014-2023. These are genuine genuine OEM Honda plastics. One set is white and the other set is green. The boxes these are in are too big to ship.(Unless you want to pay for it. If so, lookup your own shipping rates from 17325 and box size is 58"x35"x18").  $400

I was looking to buy a new ATV.
I was debating between Polaris sportsman 450 and Honda rancher.
      Polaris it a bit cheaper.
But can you tell me which one will have more demand on the used market? Which one will keep it's value better?

Let's say 3-5 years from now.
