2006 500 x2 good or bad?

I have a line on a x2 and that model seems like the perfect fit with the 2 up seat and utility of the bed. Lots of the review videos seem to love them but many seem to be from manufacturer sales departments and not a third party tester. What are the negatives of this type machine?

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on a 2007. It needed some odds and ends so I have been scouring eBay and fb to get the things it lacks. So far we are impressed with the ride and turf mode has been great for not ripping the lawn out.

I'll see if I can find specific threads here to address some of the problems I'm trying to sort out.

Thanks - been decent so far. I *might* have been a bit better waiting for one in a little better shape but they were $1K - 2.5K more than I wanted to spend. Even with the odds and ends (and a few upgrades), I'll be into this for quite a bit less.

It turned out to be a "deluxe" model, I think - has the Polaris / Warn winch and a front brush guard. Winch "didn't work" and found the power lead had been disconnected. We can make good use of it as long as I add enough protection to keep the plastics from melting.

My friends KQ 300 starts fine and runs, as soon as you put it in gear and try to accelerate its bucks and farts like crazy, not moving... I cleaned carb and it worked good for 1 day... now back to same problem.... could it be such as a bent valve????

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

I am in the process of puting it back together after replacing the DPS gearbox.
The manual I have states that it will need to be flashed by a dealer. Is this still true?
Also , I have a mystery bolt That I cannot remember where it goes. M6x 70 or so.  Hex head with a flat washer.I will try to attach a pic.
Pic is no go for now....Cox issue I will try again later
      TIA
