I have a 96 Quadrunner 250 that has a stud by the oil filter broken off. Anyone have any suggestions how to get this thing out without having to replace engine?

If it is not broken off flush with the case iwould wet it good with PB Blaster let it sit for a while and either grab the stud with a small pipe wrench or vice grips, dont try to gorilla it out when it starts to move go back and forth gently a little at aa time and it will eventually come out.

If it is broken off flush with the case you have to drill a hole and use an ease out but again gently you dont want that to brake off then you really have problems.I dont like ease outs much but sometimes necessary. Another way i sometimes get them out is drill a small hole close to the edge so you can get a punch in there and then hit the punch with a hammer  towards the counterclockwise rotation also keeping it wet with PB Blaster.

Got it done, with a little help from a welder was able to put a socket on it and back it right out. Thanks! Now I'm looking for the torque specs for the cover so I don't overtighten the bolts/nuts.

That would be ft pounds if it is an 8mm bolt a little less if it is 6mm but be careful i snapped one off on mine it had an 8mm head but m6 threads and i was using a torque wrench that was really to large and didnt click on the low setting, it should have not sure why it didnt. So i got an inch pd one just for low torque settings, just thought i would relay that info dont want that to happen to you and it shouldnt have happened to me i did everything right, will never buy another harbor freight one. In inch pd s it would be between 60 and 80 depending on what size bolt you have, but start with half that and make sure it clicks and go up from there.

I have an Inch pound torque wrench, that's why I was questioning the ft/in pounds. LOL. I think my bolts are 10mm heads 6mm actual bolt.

For the 6mm bolts i would do 80 inch pds, but being cautious i would set it to half that make sure it clicks or beeps depending on the wrench you have then set it to the 80 and finish up. I couldnt find a service manual to see what they recommend but 80-90 in pds is pretty standard for that size bolt.

I'm in the middle of repairing damage from the chain coming off of this from the previous owner. (I learned this is somewhat common on these for various reasons.)
What are you guys using to either help keep the chain correct and on the sprocket or guarding your engine in the case that it comes off / breaks?
Is there an upgraded guard that can bolt around the sprocket in replacement of the currently broken OEM alluminum?

I just bought a 1984 Suzuki LT185 ATV and am looking for the OWNER’S manual. ( not a service manual)
I contacted Suzuki Canada but they have no paper or digital copies in their archives.
Does anyone possibly have a digital copy they’d be willing to share?

I am looking for a PDF version of a manual for a Suzuki Quadrunner 250.  I am not sure of the year, but believe it is a late 1990s model.

      Hello all!
I was given a 2000 Suzuki Quadrunner 500 (Quad 500 Runner?) and its current state is a bit of a mystery!
Kept indoors but hasn't been run in 5 years.  We're not trying the engine until the gas is replaced, and the tires are reinflated. But the previous owner said their only issue was stalling when shifting to reverse without giving some throttle.
      I'm optimistic!  See y'all around!
