Southern ingenuity

one morning three alabama good old boys and three yankees were in a ticket line at the birmingham train station heading to atlanta for a big football game.

The three northerners each bought a ticket and watched as the three southerners bought just one ticket among them.

"how are the thre of you going to travel on one one ticket?" asked one of the yankees.

"watch and learn" answered one of the boys from the south.

When the six travelers boarded the train, the three yankees sat down, but the three southerners crammed into a bathroom together and closed the door.

Shortly after the train departed, the conductor came around

to collect tickets.

He knocked on the bathroom door and said, "tickets please." the door opened just a crack and a single arm emerged with a ticket

in hand. The conductor took it and moved on.

The yankees saw this happen and agreed it was quite a clever idea.

Indeed, so clever that they decided to do the same thing on the return trip and save some money.

That evening after the game when they got to the atlanta train

station, they bought a single ticket for the return trip while

to their astonishment the three southerners didn't buy even one ticket.

"how are you going to travel without a ticket?" asked one of the

perplexed yankees.

"watch and learn", answered one of the southern boys.

When they boarded the train the three northerners crammed themselves into a bathroom and the three southerners crammed themselves into the other bathroom across from it.

Shortly after the train began to move, one of the southerners left

their bathroom and walked quietly over to the yankee's bathroom.

He knocked on the door and said "ticket please".

There's just no way on god's green earth to explain how the

yankees won the war....

Greetings to all.  New to the forum, but not to ATVing.  I started when they only had 3 wheels!  Getting back into riding.  Polaris 850.  Too many bells and whistles, but what do you do.  Scouting out places to ride legally now.

Anyone  carrying  a power box when  camping with their ATV?  I built  a custom  one.  I  used a  marine  battery box that  has 2  50A Anderson Grey connector  outputs (  changed one of the greys to a red), an accessory socket  and2  USB outlets, and a battery  voltmeter ..  I  added a Pure sine wave 1,000w inverter to it and A red 120A Anderson connector to the  output  posts.. To  charge the  100Ah LiFePO4 battery  I  put in the box, I added  a DC to DC charge adapter that I  made input connectors for to allow charging the battery from a vehicle's  accessory socket  or a solar panel.
It  was a fun  project.. Besides  having a  1,000w power box for  120V ac , USB   and  12v accessories using the 10 A socket.  I  have  50  A  Anderson connectors  and the 120 A connector  to run  things like a  12v electric outboard   for fishing  trips .  The LiFePO4  battery  only allows a max output of 100A  so  it  can't be used for something like jump starting,  but  it  is half the weight and  delivers twice the capacity of a lead acid battery running accessories..  Commercial pow2er  boxes  don't  deliver  high draw 12v output to run things like  the  electric outboards.   That's one reason  I  custom  built  mine.   One box that serves for both camping and fishing.

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Hi. I just bought an lt230 1993.  Ive started buying parts for a full rebuild.  But somehow beskepedal has been removed and pegs welded to where They are supposed to be screwed.    I was wondering if anyone have one and Could measure how far out the pegs are.  Like the peg the brake is put on and then peg outside of it.  And the one lower down.  So i can recreate them.
