Hi would like to know if the big ring gear is meant to be pressing hard up against the speedo gear. the bike had been rolled over so i was think that the roll has moved the bevel gear over a bit. one of the shim washers was pushed in to the bearing a bit and the break drum had been hitting the cover as well. but also the 2 lock nuts where lose there is that was well   Thanks

New to the site and I'm looking for some places to (LEGALLY) ride. I know a few places not too far from me but getting caught and over 1k in fines and criminal trespassing charges isn't on the top of my list.

    • Michigan atv trails St Helen to Mio, and everwhere in between!

Good place to start out is at St Helen Mi. campground or Trails inn motel, both on the trail head across the street from one another, with all the amenities needed in town there for your stay like an atv parts dealership, gas. restaurants, liquor store, drug store, hardware all within a blocks distance away. From here you can head E. towards Houghton lake Mi. trail system or West to West branch or N. through Clear lake then onto city of Mio trail system. So many great places to check out along the way heading north fro there, like Clear Lake, with their Bar and grill, corner store, gas, lodging, Ambrose lk. atv campground near by, and with so many surrounding trails there too, with hill climbs! Then after leaving Clear lk. head up to wagon Wheel N. of Rose city rd. with dozens of trails scattering the hill side there called the Rose city oil fields. Then on up N. to the gravel pit for a little play time, before crossing M33 at the Pink store for gas and snacks. Leaving there to head up to Mio's Bull gap, either on the west side (shortest rout) or you can do the half Bull Gap trip through Mac lk. Campground heading  N. to Bull Gap or the long way around from the Pink store traveling on the 50 mile loop that passes Bull gap on its way back to the Pink store. Make sure you take along the printable Mi. DNR atv trail maps with you, to help guide the way, along with the other areas I just mentioned, maps.  If your looking for a friend to ride with and show the way with , over 50 nearer my age and interests, contact Email:  [email protected]   for more info. I'll be more than happy to ride with you!   Thanks Steve

    • Places to ride in NC

Looking for trail riding in the NC area.  Also keep hearing about lots of trails in WV which would not be a bad ride.   Any way to meet local riders on this forum?

Just thought I would say Hello and introduce myself. I am from Metro Detroit and have been into ATV's for almost 20 years on and off. I had to sell my last 2 ATV's (98 Banshee and 98 blaster) about 11 years ago due to starting a family and now that my son is old enough to enjoy it with my wife and I we are all getting quads again so we can have fun as a family with a common interest. I myself am looking to get a YFZ450 or LTR450 and for my Wife a TRX250/300, Raptor 250, or LTZ250 with in the next 2-3 weeks. Anyways I really like this website and hope to have a lot of fun and good times on here.
Thanks and have a great day.

Eastern TX has some very nice ATV parks. Up north near Jacksonville there is RuralShade, Alto, and Riverrun. Near Longview theres Alligator Park. Mudcreek is another great place to ride. Of course all these places suck if theres no rain and its dry.
Down by Houston we have Bustin Loose ATV Park, Spring Creek (watch for the cops and tree huggers) and Crosby. Crosby has two places to park at, and is very fun. From mud, water to some very challenging mud holes we call the gauntlet. Seen some bikes get tore up there from people taking on more than they bargined for. General Sams is up by Huntsville, very nice park, but not so great when it hasnt rained out in awhile. All of these places have quite a few trails. Also, you just cant miss out on the MudFest or Mud Nationals....then theres the TX Redneck Games.....
