Yoshimura releases pim-2 efi system

Recommended Posts

Chino, Calif. - October 12, 2009 - Yoshimura has just released the next generation in fuel management systems for fuel injected Motocross, Off-Road motorcycles, and ATVs. The PIM-2 (Peripheral Interface Module) installs easily, typically in under 30-minutes using simple Plug-N-Play technology. Just plug the PIM-2 into the stock wiring harness using the supplied sub-harness, mount it to your bike

Had the problem earlier this month. Found the air intake filter (K&N) covered in mud and cleaned it. Took it out this weekend and it worked great until I went on a longer ride.

After it warms up, it bogs down at about 20mph. Engine sputters. No change at full throttle. It runs fine at lower RPM. Once it cools off, I can run it at higher speed for a few minutes then it bogs down. Seems like there is an electronic component that overheats. Check engine display comes on when it happens. Did manage to complete our 34 mile ride though.

Buddy suggested the throttle position sensor. Will dig into the manual later on.

      Hello...first post.
Have a problem I have not been able to figure out.
While back the fuel pump went out...replaced it.  I got maybe 30 minutes..maybe less before the new one went out.
Replaced it again...same thing. Now I am sitting with two more new fuel pumps in reserve but do not want to experiment and blow out another until I have a clue of what could be wrong.
Have checked electrical...seems to be fine but I am no expert. Also the fuse is just fine.

Tried to start my 850HL the other and had no spark. Changed the plugs, but while checking for spark noticed not getting fuel either. So no spark and no fuel. ECU? Anyone else have anything like this?

      Hey Everyone,
This is my first post here on this forum. My name is Dave and am a project manager here at Yoshimura R&D.
We're looking for vehicles to test with and have had pretty short luck finding some models, and would appreciate greatly to receive some help from you guys on the forums. We offer great incentives for allowing us to use your vehicles for product development, including discounts and promotional product.
Right now, we're looking for a KingQuad 700 and KingQuad 450 for development on our PIM2 fuel injection controller. If anyone's interested in helping us out, please give me a ring or email me at [email protected]!
Also, if anyone has any questions in regards to product, feel free to contact us directly as we'd be glad to help out.
Thanks again and hope to hear from you guys soon!
