I have a Kawasaki bayou 4WD that started squealing when giving it the gas from a stop. It almost sounds like a fan belt but the dealer replaced the belt about 30 hours ago, so I don't think it is that. As best as I can tell, it actually sounds like it is coming from the front end. Once I am running and moving at a speed, I don't hear the squealing anymore. My first thought was to put fan belt dressing on the fan belt, as a quick test for the problem. It makes the noise when hot or cold.
Another problem, that started before the dealer changed the fan belt, is that you give the quad a little gas, and nothing, give it more, and nothing, give it more, and it lurches and takes off. The dealer said it needs a new clutch, which I don't buy. less than 400 hours and it needs a clutch? I would say it needs an adjustment. When the quad is cold, as in I just started it for the first time in hours, it does not lurch. It is just fine. It lurches only when it gets hot, as in when you can hear the fan once in a while to cool the oil.
Any help or insights would be great.

The Hop-Up: You may be saying to yourself, “that’s a chick bike,” and you’re right. But honestly, it’s so much more than that. It’s one badass bike. http://www.quadmagazine.com/quad/features/article/0,24942,1587044,00.html

OK, sooo I finally did the old skid plate and screen removal to clean out my oil sump during an oil change... This bike only has a couple thousand miles on it. Runs like a top still... Very few issues over the years after buying it used.
But boy I wasn't expecting to see this! Piece of a circlip, stuck up in the screen, and a another shard of metal and maybe a piece of gasket material. Nothing in the oil but that... Pristine otherwise, and still runs like a top. Always has.
Soooo, is it a wrist pin clip? That's the only thing I can think of like this that could end up in there. But definitely wanted to throw it out to guys that have seen the innerds of these more than I have.
The valves on this thing are still within the factory spec even. Been a really good lil workhorse...
Any other ideas?

So i have an old yamaha bear tracker that was given to me from an old farmer I know. I decided to refurbished it and fix all the quick fixes on it. I am pretty sure that it is either a 1999 or 2000 based upon the original wiring harness. Little did i know when I bought a new to me wiring harness from ebay that it was from a 2003 or 2004. My question to everyone is do I need to have all the stop switch assemblies hooked up? I think there are three on the 03/04 models and only one on the 1999 to 2000. Any help I can get for this would be great. I haven't run it yet due to the motor and crankcase is in two totes.

The clutch cover goes on and fits, but the little L chapped arm that has gear slots is concerning me. It appears it goes to wear the clutch adjust bolts are on the cover.
Is there a specific way to tell how it mounts on the gears in relationship with the basket?
I don't want to deal it up unless it's right

I purchased a quad with engine problems. The previous owner had pulled the motor and pulled the valve cover but decided to stop. I have done Arctic Cat top ends before but have never worked on the bottom end so any advise would be appreciated. What I have found so far is the connecting rod bearing is completely gone and some scoring on the jug walls. What i'm wondering is if anybody here has worked on these and if so did you replace all the bearings or just the ones that were for sure bad? Also is the 2006 Suzuki King Quad 700 motor exactly the same? It seems Suzuki parts are a lot cheaper to buy.
