2003 Yamaha Wolverine - Putters When Driving

I have a 2003 wolverine that had a gummed up carb earlier this summer. I took it off and cleaned it. The pilot jet was clogged and caused it to not idle. I put it back together and did an oil change with new plug. Now it idles great. The problem now is when I start to drive it at higher rpms it starts to putter. It never stalls. I've verified the float level. Could it be air/fuel mixture screw?

would it be the main jet that is attached to the throttle cable that needs the clip moved up or down? if it runs good to 3/4 throttle then starts to act up, it could be that ... maybe someone else can jump in with more carb experience.

If your carb is one that has a diaphragm on the top check to make sure the carb diaphragm/s have no holes or pin holes in them. And many times once a carb sits up with gas in them the needle valve and seat tend to corrode and causes it to not function properly. If you haven't cleaned out the fuel tank I would suggest doing that and if the fuel line has no inline fuel filter I would also add one of those as well.
