1996 Yamaha Timberwolf - Does Not Move

Heycuzzz

Recommended Posts

Hello, having an issue with the drivetrain on my buddies atv. We've replaced the primary, and secondary clutches. It starts fine, runs good, put it in gear, and nothing happens. Won't move forward, or backwards. When we jack up the rear end the tires spin, go thru all the gears, but when there is any resistance (sitting on the ground), it won't move........is it a drive shaft issue, or a rear end issue. Any help with this issue, would be greatly appreciated !!!!!

any noises? grinding crunching popping should steer you right. If no noise and it's spinning off the ground maybe the 2ndary clutch is hung up or you left a friction or steel out of it so that even with the springs fully engaging the clutch basket it slips. IIRC there is an alignment mark on the inner and outer clutch basket that might be your problem.

So I have an 89 Yamaha moto 4 250cc and when I ride it, itll get hot after like 10-15 mins and then will just die and turn off.
It's has new carb rebuild, new air filter, new battery, new spark plug so I don't think it's a crack in the spark plug
      Can anyone help me?

What's the best kids atv out there? I've seen everything from the ones released by the major manufacturers to all those knock offs. Kawasaki has a KFX 50 that is pretty nice for under $1800...
