2004 kawasaki kfx400 help

Hey guys my first post on this forum, anyways i could use some help regarding ym atv, before i start just want to say last time i rode it was before winter and the starter was shot, but it still ran and started up.

So what i did:

I put the key in and tried to jump start her because theirs no starter, and it would go to start and then i would hit the gas and it wouldn't do anything and die almost immediately.

So i had my dad hook up a rope to his truck and tow me. The quad would "run" while being toed but i would pull in the clutch and it would die immediately. Pressing the gas also did absolutely nothing. So i was dumbfounded and did a routine tune up. I changed spark plug, oil, and cleaned carb best to my ability. Still wouldn't start. I noticed there was no neutral light on which i have a feeling that it could be the problem. So whats wrong with her

Also I had to changed my ignition because i lost my key, it was a simple unplug and plug back in kinda deal. I also changed clutch lever and wire. shes at a shop right now but i want to see if i can diagnose here by myself. so any ideas?

I also noticed when changing the spark plug that the spark plug cover and the wire that goes into it were disconnected when i changed the spark plug not while i was trying to start it. so im thinking since that tube was ripped out of the cover that could also be a problem with the spark to engine
