hello folks, Hi Mech, I'm not real familiar with those 6x6 machines but could the cam chain have jumped a tooth?

Thanks for the reply KP, but i think the ? was misunderstood I am removing the fuel tank as it has a leak but my service manual says to drop the engine for this procedure, I'm not sure thats necessary but I was hoping someone hear had that expeirence?

It has a shorter tongue also and a set up that lets it follow 44" to either side, no real problems with trees.

Howdy all, well my fuel tank seems to have developed a leak. Has anyone had the expeirence of R&Ring that part? My service manual says the engine has to be dropped?, really? Any feedback would be appreciated,Thanks. 1998 King Quad LTF4wd

Just a guess but it sounds like your mechs routed the throttle cable wrong.🤔

Howdy Mech, long time no smoke signal🙃 good to hear from ya. That is a fair assumption of the time involvment and I think very possible, I just have to figure out if I want to spend the time to tear it down myself or drop it off at a local shop and bite the bullit🙄.

Hi all, does anyone have an idea what the time involvment is to R&R a fuel tank on a FTX-4WD KQ 300? and possible ballpark $ ?

Here's my LTF winch mount, I made a mounting plate out of some 3/16" plate I had ,bent it approx. 20 degrees and marked and drilled 4 holes for the 10mm nuts that are already welded onto the front frame member. The remote switch assembly was than mounted to the front crossbar just aft of the winch, All I had to do was predrill and thread the holes for some #8 screws. I have one more mod to make, welding a receiver under the winch plate so I can put a ball hitch or pintle or pin to push my equipment around instead of backing everything up -
Hi Mark, I had an extra ignition switch that I swapped out but same results, hadn't thought of the stop/run/off switch, guess I'll have to get into it and see what it's doing as far as continuity By the way is that your trike? Awesome!

Hi everyone, need some electrical wizardry, my 1998 LTF-4WDX has a ghost, it fires right up idles perfect but when throttling up starts dieseling , missing, real bad but when the ignition is turned to the lighting pos. everything is normal runs perfect, any help is most appreciated! I have checked: charging circuit / ok- changed ignition switch- no change, new coil. I'm scratchin my head so much it's starting to bleed! HELP!! Thanks for any thoughts.🤔🙄

This is mine ,had it about 6 years now great trailer, floating beam axle the box drops off with 2 pins at the rear and comes with log racks, I've hauled 16' log sections no problems. Made by T Rex. Don't remember the company but you should be able to google or internet search and find them. US built

Hi everone, got a funny thing going on, 1998 Suzuki King Quad LTFX4WD , started it yesterday, fired right up idled fine, when throttled up it started dieseling and missing badly. Having replaced the coil package recently I checked all connections again, still ran poorly, for some unknown reason I switched ignition to the lighting position, fired her up and WTF, runs perfect? I'm thinking short but where, ignition switch? Any help much appreciated

Hi everybody, need a little help with my 98' King Quad LT-F4WDX. Finally had to replace battery after 4 yrs, good for a battery I think, anyway installed new battery, turned ign switch,press starter switch and heard 1 click, no start. checked main fuse, ok. So the dreaded chapter 14,removal of fenderbody was performed. Then proceeded to run tests found out the starter relayfrom the positive side to the starterfeed side had no continuity, infinity. Ordered new relay, received and installed today turn on ign got a neutral light pushed starter button ,one click and now nothing. I had checked the neutral relay earlier and it showed good so I put it back in. Any ideas fellas? any thing will be appreciated, maybe I have to pull the starter and try field jumping it? I don't get the 1 click and then nothing, could the new relay be faulty? Before installing i performed the continuity tests recommended and it seemed fine🤔

Two things might be happening here, if your idle is set to high it would cause the clutch to "jump" which might give you gear grind or the clutch itself needs adj.

You might want to read up on Namura piston/rings reviews

some smoking is normal for a break-in period but if you are getting excessive smoke it could be the wrong size piston/ rings setup, were the rings in the correct order? were the ring breaks alternated on the piston? hope this helps!

Hey just randy, when you cut the wire at the relay do you ground it and pig tail back to the relay? or just ground?

In 1974 I was a Honda factory mechanic, but holy crap has everything changed, I Would rather work on my 1956 John Deere crawler than these new quads. What's up with 40 min to remove fenders just to test parts? That's pissin me off!

Hi all, my 350 starts missing pretty badly after about an hour of pulling my mower and will quit then restart after about 5 min sitting but still misses, overheating ?? I have done a MOD on the fan so now it runs continuous Any ideas are welcomed
